«Everything we needed for pick up weekend for my MTU student. The weather wasn’t great, so we didn’t get out as much as we normally do, so it was nice to have a comfortable place to hide out from the rain. »

«This place was wonderful, highly recommended. I ended up staying just over a week and needed to extend for a few days. Luckily it was available and the owner was really responsive and helpful. It was truly a home away from home. Super comfortable, very clean, had everything we needed and we cooked every meal. We really loved this place. «This location was very quiet, close to Calumet and area hot spots. Comfy beds, more than enough room for two people, nice size bathroom. Easy to control temps and plenty of hot water once it got to the taps. Lots of games and plenty of kitchen gear for cooking.»

«We really enjoy the old schoolhouse turned into apartments. The price is very reasonable. We love how they tried to keep as much of the original structure as possible, the old doors and flooring. It is a clean and well kept property. The owners are very accommodating and have a quick response time, when I asked about staying another night. »

«The property was a blast back in time, with it being a repurposed school building. We loved the high ceilings, wood floors, and tile flooring. This place hit the spot.»

«Didn’t seem like a bad area but all of the business buildings are not businesses anymore. The property is in an old building, which is unique and the idea is great. The problem is that the unit smells very strongly of old building. I felt like it was not clean because of the smell. Cool idea but I would not stay again»

«The outside of the building doesn’t represent how the place is on the inside. It’s a nice clean and well taken care of apartment that was comfy to stay in. Relatively quiet just noisy cars driving by at night. Very nice place to stay and a not very far from Houghton so it’s definitely a place I’d revisit.»

«We loved staying at the property in Calumet. It was very clean and spacious. There were many small touches that made it comfortable. We did some cooking and found the kitchen well stocked. It has been nicely remodeled to keep the 'old time' feel while still remaining usable and efficient. It worked well as a home base to explore the Keweenaw. It is walkable to the bars and restaurants. «Stayed one night to ride snowmobile up the keweenaw. Fantastic location, literally ON the trail. Great bars down the block. Hosts were very communicative and friendly. Clean place with tons of space to hang out. Nice use of an old building with cool history. Will be back!»

«The apartment was very cute and stylish. A great repurpose of an industrial building. We enjoyed being in downtown Houghton and being able to walk to restaurants, stores and bars. Our car was able to be parked in a parking lot across the street from the apartment so it was easy to get out of town to explore the Keweenaw. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Houghton.»
