«Overall the property was fine. The biggest issue was that the key card for the door didn’t always work. I had to go back to the front desk to reset it and even then, there was a specific way to hold the key to open the door. When you get in late at night and all you want to do is get to sleep, it’s a bit frustrating to not get into the room due to a key issue. Other than that, the place is clean and decent. Only a 10 mins drive from the airport. »

«Small town, older motel. It had what we needed but it may not work for everyone. Spent one night before flying out. Might be wise to stay closer to the international airport as the highways can be congested.

«Pictures on website did not match reality. Motel room had been updated in the cheapest way possible. Example door knob of closet was stuck on and came off the door when I opened the it. Toilet paper holder was stuck on the side of a cabinet. Outside looked run down and most people appeared to be permanent residents.»

«Staff was incredibly kind and helpful. We received a complimentary upgrade which was lovely for our simple night away. Property is older but decently cared for. We felt comfortable and safe. Enjoyed free mini golf in parksville too! This was a surprise. Would stay here again. »

«Note that the property is pretty old, so you will sleep in smells of mold/old wood/old sewage system etc for the night. Not too strong tho, tolerable considering the price and location.
Otherwise the place was fine. Spacious room, helpful and friendly staff, 3 min drive away from Departure Bay, nice Harbour view, quiet, etc.»

«Great little inexpensive and quiet spot with super friendly and helpful staff. Nothing extravagant, but comfortable stay for a good price. My only minor critique is that I wish they had better shower heads, but it's not like they are terrible by any means. Stayed here 3 times now, and would happily stay again»
