Everyone knows the Salento for the beauty of its beaches and its postcard views, for the goodness of local cuisine and the charm of its many traditions.

But few may know that in the Salento is also famous for many other aspects that are revealed to visitors especially during the many patronal feasts spread inland of the peninsula.

We are talking about the incredible play of light illuminations, also called villas: these little colored lights that go to cover entire buildings such as waterfalls, churches, streets and squares, forming sets only ones able to keep his eyes upwards everyone, from the largest to the smallest.

An idea as simple as charming, able to walk the visitor through alleys and streets amid an almost surreal, magical, surrounded by the sounds and smells of these traditional festivals.

«An amazing hotel in a beautiful town. This was by far the best hotel we stayed in on our three week trip (also the most expensive though). The room was beautiful, the bed and pillows SO comfortable, and a beautiful relax-area at the rooftop. The breakfast had quality in every choice, except perhaps the instant american coffe. The staff was extremely helpful and serviceminded. Would not hesitate to recomend this hotel to anyone. We would love to be back! »

«La struttura di bello ha le camere. Ristrutturate , fresche e con un ottimo impianto di condizionamento. Pulizia giornaliera fatta bene. La cosa assolutamente inesistente e a mio parere improponibile è la colazione. Non esiste praticamente. Ci si accinge al banco di un bar a piano terra dove non c'è praticamente nulla di esposto se non 2 pasticciotti e 2 brioche di numero. Certo , ti dicono di ordinare quello che vuoi....ma cosa ? Non esiste un minimo di menù scritto magari con 2 proposte. ...

"Very nice hotel and friendly staff located 2 km south of Gallipoli city centre. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Excellent breakfast buffet with personal service (thanks for the coffee every morning Lorenzo). Nice dinner restaurant. Because of the location the choices of restaurants nearby is a little bit limited but you can take a taxi for 5 euro per person in to town. "
