«So disappointed in what they have done to this once beautiful hotel. It had so much personality. Not now. It is now a Comfort Inn and it looks awful. The room was clean but no coffee maker. The worst part is you could not use the hallways in the morning to go to breakfast. You had to go outside to get to the breakfast area. Glad it wasn't winter. The staff were great. It's not their fault. Won't be going there again.»

«The staff was extremely helpful. We couldn’t figure out how to open the sofa bed. The front desk person tried; she got the manager; and then they called a woman who’s worked at the hotel the longest and she knew the trick to opening it. This was all at 10pm. The breakfast had the best home fries!»

«Our king bed room had everything we liked and wanted, from the friendly guy at check in to the big bright bedside lamps to the spotless bathroom to the comfortable bed to the substantial breakfast offerings.»

«Great old world style property with good food. We have stayed there several times with very favorable results. The room however on this trip was too small to comfortably hold two adults. Very little room between the beds and the walls and not much room to get dressed or store luggage. Just make sure you request a larger room.»

«Perfect clean room and bathroom. 4 pillows per bed, extra blanket. best shower pressure I have ever had in a motel!! So close to hospital and mall and Portland. Very well run a real diamond in the ruff!! Will also be our choice for this part of Maine.»

«Staff were super! Loved the drink and snack in the evening and breakfast. All food was good. We sat at the bar and both nights the bar tender was great. The rooms love seat had a tear in the cushion. The shower door didn’t shut properly so leaked onto floor. The bathroom drain must of been clogged because it drained very slow. The nice part was the bed and pillows. Very soft and comfortable.»

«Clean, comfortable rooms. Hotel does have a few food options near by but car service was wonderful as it’s not near most of the restaurants & shops. Overall great hotel!»
