«Great base to explore IOW (by car), nowhere is very far away.Enjoyed visiting Godshill, Shipwreck Centre, Carisbrooke Castle, Newtown Nature Reserve, Freshwater Bay (great waves!), Cowes, Sandown, Ventnor and Shanklin. Also climbed Bembridge Windmill and had lunch at St Helen's beach.Had a boiler breakdown on first morning so had no hot water for 4 days, happened on the Friday so difficult to find someone to repair it. The home owners were very apologetic (no-one's fault) and did all they could ...

House was quite warm would have been good to be able to control temperature other than by opening windows. Location good and bad. Bad when walking after dark but can’t really improve this. A cafetière would be a welcome addition to the kitchen and a couple of the bedrooms would benefit from privacy blinds as they are overlooked. Also we appreciate that this is a deliberate design feature, but the wonderful balconies having opaque glass means you can’t see the views unless standing up or on a high chair.»

«The cottage was very well-equipped, practical, well located and very comfortable beds. Everything worked and storage was great. Loved the nice bedding and towels! Nice that cleaning things and tea/coffee packets were there for arrival etc. We didn't miss anything we needed. Decor nice and lots of local information provided to help us plan and book trips out.
