Total Management Failure and Safety Hazards
I rarely write negative reviews, but our recent stay was a shocking departure from the 5-star experience advertised. From health hazards to unprofessional leadership, this hotel failed on every level.
The Service & Management Disgrace
We booked and paid for a Lagoon View room, but were checked into a standard room with no explanation. When we attempted to resolve this, the Manager, Johnny Lee, intentionally avoided us. He repeatedly instructed his staff to say he was "unavailable" specifically to shake us off. This level of cowardice from a leadership figure is pathetic for a luxury establishment.
Substandard Room Conditions
The room was far from "luxury." It was, frankly, disgusting:
• Mould covering the bathroom ceiling.
• Peeling paint flaking off the sides of the bathtub.
• Stinky pillows that smelled of previous guests.
• Old, tattered bathrobes that should have been retired years ago.
Safety Concerns: Pool & Allergies
• Chemical Negligence: In broad daylight, while guests were in the water, staff topped up the "kids-friendly" pool with chemicals. Not only is this a massive safety risk, but it also completely ruined my white bathing suit.
• Allergy Risk: Despite specifically requesting dairy-free options for my son, he was served food containing dairy. In a 5-star kitchen, ignoring a dietary requirement is dangerous and negligent.
Verdict
Do not be fooled by the marketing photos or name this is a very dated establishment.
