«We were really looking forward to a relaxing time. We arrived at the apartments and were met with a list of rules which you had to sign up to, which should have set alarm bells ringing immediately. We were given the cards for the room and at first appearance all looked fine The next morning we were woken by loud banging at the door. It was police and firefighters, telling us to evacuate the building. No reasons given, just get out. Still in bed clothes, we went to reception, they wouldn't say ...

«This hotel is strategically located on a square in the heart of Gracia, my favorite neighborhood in Barcelona. There is so much happening right out the door - great food, shopping etc. Very walkable to other neighborhoods, the Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera and Casa Battlo. There are 2 metro stops a short walk away in either direction. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Barcelona.»

«It was a very secured place! The apartment was very spacious & clean, and provided with basic necessities for the kitchen, bedroom, shower and has a washing machine! The area has a lot of people walking on the street but is a quiet neighborhood and has a lot of stores, groceries, restaurants nearby. Laundry facility is also closed by as we need to use a dryer. Metro is a few blocks away as well. Overall we had a good stay at this place and I highly recommends it!»

Olivia Balmes Hotel

8/10 Bra

"Hyggelig hotell med et fantastisk personale. God mat og service i restauranten."

Lamaro Hotel Barcelona 5★ | Preferred Hotels & Resorts | Lifestyle Collection

10/10 Utmerket

"This is definitely one of the nicest, most luxurious and best located hotels in Barcelona. We stayed 6 nights there and really loved it. We had an executive room which provided plenty of space for us and our 15 year old daughter, with both functionally and classic furniture. Though the room is not overloaded with useless clutter and decoration, it feels home. The hotel is decently calm as the hallways are furnished with carpets. Although, being located right in between where things happen, some noise from the streets and surroundings must be accepted. The personell, especially the guys at the entrance in the lobby, are exceptional with a warmth and a serving attitude you barely find in Europe anymore. Thank you! If I want to also name things that we considered negative, I must mention the stunning roof terrace which is "sold" online as being a treat for its guests... it is not: it is a very nice bar/restaurant serving pricy drinks. As a hotel guest, you cannot just sit there and enjoy the sun. You compete with external guests (mostly influencer) that make their photos in front of the cathedral. We were also not exceptionally impressed by the breakfast restaurant which is too expensive given the service there. Especially for a family that is not used to drink champagne for breakfast. But overall, a wonderful stay, and we will definitely come back. The combination of the Lamaro hotel and the city of Barcelona is really worth it!"
