«I booked this hotel for my husband and his workers as it was close to the work site. When they went into the room there was no shower curtain, a piece of pizza in the floor by the bed, a half bottle of wine left in the counter, and no blankets for the one bed.»

«Great place to stay…outside is a little dated but the massive tree and landscaping is beautiful. Rooms were clean. And suites were very handy. Great price for a great location. Breakfast was good and there was even an outdoor garden with picnic tables. Plus you can’t beat the free kayaking and bikes!!»

«Location was everything about the empress. Great food at the hotel and near with walkable access to the heart of Victoria. Highly recommend renting a car as a lot of cool castles and beaches are close drives away. The garden was fantastic and live music and salmon at the hotel restaurant was great .»

«There were no ammenities really here. Was asked on how those were. Just ok I guess. I did not like the check out lady today at 820 am Fri, May 29. Non caring and just uppity. I only had a couple questions and she was so snooty. I Google reviewed that aspect. Not used to snooty ever I guess. One time in Vernon I got a snoot and she was let go. «My mom and I had a 3 night stay at the Day's Inn and it was great.
The grounds are well kept and ALL of the staff that we interacted with were great. So helpful and polite.
We had a minor issue on the 1st night of the bathroom fan leaking a decent amount after a shower.
Staff were incredibly helpful and assisted in us changing rooms. They were on top of the problem right away as I saw the maintenance man in the room inspecting the very next morning.

«Fantastic hotel! Our room (224) was wonderful. It felt like a mini apartment! The balcony was adorable. The beds were the most comfortable hotel beds we’ve ever slept on. The pillows were excellent.
