    Denne unike Grade II-bygningen ble opprinnelig bygget i 1825 som en ruin, og har blitt sympatisk forvandlet til to nydelige, frittliggende gatehus, men beholder alle de visuelle utseendet til en ruin. Bygget i stein fra Filey Brigg, The Follies er satt i 3/4 hektar med naturlig begrunnelse og besøkende er velkommen til å vandre gjennom dem, hvor det er en overflod av dyreliv inkludert kaniner, ugler og ekorn.
    Den historiske byen Filey ligger sentralt til for å utforske North Yorkshire-kysten, myrene og wolds, bare 3 miles unna, med sin brede sandstrand og alle attraksjonene i en populær badeby. Scarborough og Bridlington er begge lett tilgjengelige, som den vakre byen York. Det er en 9-hulls golfbane lokalt, fiske tilgjengelig i nærheten, og en RSPB reserve på Bempton Cliffs gir interesse for fugletitting. Det er mange lokale butikker og puber innen gangavstand, og gode jernbaneforbindelser. Handle 500 meter.

Well equipped cottage. Kitchen could do with a bit of a declutter to give the guests more room to store food. The ceiling in the bedroom is really low. The only real way to reach the far side of the bed is over the bed. The mattress is not the best. Great location for Filey and the coast. Local facilities also very good.

Lovely little cottage with large grassed area for dog to walk on. Great location with local pubs in walking distance and a lovely beach only a few miles away that allows dogs on all year round. The cottage was presented very well with all the necessary items you would need. Not a negative but head room upstairs is very low making it awkward to get to far side of bed but managed to get through holiday without banging my head once. Overall great base for holiday destination with Filey just a 10 minute drive away. Found all the locals to be very friendly people which was the icing on the cake. Would definitely consider returning in the future.

This is an old building which has been adapted as holiday accommodation.

This is an old building which has been adapted as holiday accommodation. It is natural that the interior has to confirm with space available and legislation. This has been accomplished exceptionally. The kitchen has everything you need. The lounge area is perfect. The bed is super comfy....(draw back, you didn't want to get out of it.) The only area where people would have a problem is the slope of the ceiling above the bottom of the bed. You have to crouch to get round otherwise a nasty bump would appear on your head. However, this can not be avoided in the construction as it had to fit within the confines of the building. The owners could not have been more helpful or friendly. If a bulb was out, tell them, it would be replaced immediately. Bear in mind, you are booking an unusual development inside an old "ruin". You are not booking the the Savoy in London. If you want something different with character. This is the place. I loved it.

We had a wonderful 5 day break here.

We had a wonderful 5 day break here. Hunmanby is a lovely village and the local people were so friendly and helpful. They clearly love the place and are happy to welcome visitors to share it. It is a perfect location for exploring the Yorkshire coast with it's varied and beautiful resorts. On this occasion we visited Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington, but we love all the places along this coastline. The lodge was an absolute gem of a find, so unusual and interesting. We were so lucky to find it and will definitely come again. The owner was really helpful and friendly, and the lodge had everything you could wish for, including a view of the starlit sky from the bed. We loved it.

What an absolute gem this little Lodge is! Great location, comfortable and cosy, furnished and equipped to a very high standard The lovely owner Vicky has thoughtfully provided everything you could possibly need, including welcome goodies (wine and flapjack biscuits and a pint of milk in the fridge). We loved everything about the Lodge, the beautiful arched windows with gorgeous curtains, very comfy bed, the skylight above the bed, the top quality bathroom (spa bath and super power shower), comfy sofa's (one each!), very well equipped kitchen. We could not fault anything. There is so much to see and do in the immediate surrounding area and Hunmanby Gap beach needs to be seen to be believed. Our dog Bee loved the grounds to investigate each morning for sniffs and she loved Vicky too! We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful holiday at Low Lodge.

We had a wonderful holiday at Low Lodge. The owner Vicky was really helpful and left a welcome gift on our arrival. The cottage had everything we expected and was very cosy. I have only marked the holiday down because of the very sloping ceiling in the bedroom - I cracked my head despite the numerous warnings. Wilf, our labrador, really enjoyed exploring the grounds. I think we will return at a future date.

We prefer to stay in more interesting properties. This one certainly is that. The place was spotless and so comfortable. The bed is really good and it has a good shower. The kitchen had everything we needed. Parking is easy and hidden behind the property. It has a nice little outside area with table and chairs. The bedroom is challenging with a very low slanted roof so to get to the far side of the bed one needs to crouch right down. Having said that it didn’t bother us at all. A good set of DVD’s were supplied for when snuggling up and nothing good is on the TV. The bird song was amazing at dawn and dusk. Overall we highly recommended this property if you are looking for somewhere a bit special.
