Summary:
Quiet retreat in the Colorado foothills at this A-frame mountain cabin nestled among the trees on an acre of scenic land. Only a short drive from restaurants, breweries, and shops! Countless trailheads and other outdoor activities nearby, the cozy 1057sqft cabin places you just 30 minutes from Red Rocks and Virginia Canyon Mountain Park, under 1 hour to downtown Denver, and within easy access to numerous ski resorts for easy day trips. Relax in the 4 person hot tub or enjoy your coffee while taking in breathtaking views.
The Space:
This is a great property for 1-6 people. There is a queen bed in the main floor bedroom, the second bedroom is a loft that is open to the main floor with a queen sofa bed, and the third bed is a luxury air mattress. Guests can also choose to sleep on the comfortable sectional couch instead of the air mattress.
*Other than the loft, the home is all on one level. The bedroom is large and has a queen bed w/2 end tables. There's plenty of closet storage for your items including luggage carts. The kitchen has everything you need and more. We've cooked holiday dinners for our family and guests with ease. The table under the stairs (just have to slide it out) or outdoor picnic table serves as the dining area. The living room has a good sized couch if extra bedding is needed. There are three different sections of the deck. You can relax in the hot tub on the south side deck, have a picnic or enjoy a cocktail on the north side deck while grilling, or take your cocktails or coffee to the upper deck for stunning scenery. We also give discounts for repeat guests and would love to have this be a place you come back to regularly!
Guest Access:
Keypad on the front door with a back up lock box. You can park anywhere on the driveway
The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is very quiet, secluded, and rarely have a car passing by.
Getting Around:
All homes in the neighborhood are mostly 1 acre lots. 4WD vehicle is required during winter months. You'll need a vehicle to get around. Gas station, grocery, and restaurants are all within 15 min. You can park anywhere on the driveway.
Other Things to Note:
*This is a mountain property and when it snows...it snows. During October through May we require a 4WD vehicle. You'll want to pull in to the driveway at the top and exit at the bottom for better traction.
*During the winter months, the road does get plowed up to the property. There have been times where they plowed and another foot of snow came down. Please watch the weather carefully. There have been times where we have parked at the top of the driveway just to make sure there were no issues getting out in case the snow on the driveway builds up too much.
*Feel free to explore the land around the house but be careful as it is steep in some areas. Use caution as there is a lot of wildlife out here. We've seen bears, deer, elk, porcupines, foxes, etc... The neighbors dog is super friendly and you may see her walking around the property.
*Our wifi is good enough for streaming, but if multiple people are using, it starts to get overloaded. I don't have issues watching TV and checking email, etc...but our internet options are limited up here. That said, we have great cellular and data reception.
Interaction with Guests:
We only live an hour away if you need anything. We'd love to meet you! This is one of our favorite places in the world and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
