«Peaceful and well kept property in a scenic location. Communication was perfect. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay - four big comfy beds and lots of little extras. The hosts obviously care about their guests. Highly recommend this getaway.»

«Hotel location was superb, staff was extremely helpful, check-in was a breeze, bed was really comfortable & the kitchenette with a small refrigerator came in very handy. The hotel is historic with various period furniture pieces in every room (our queen bed was most impressive) but while the lobby has been nicely updated, the carpeting on the staircase & in the hallways definitely needs upgrading. Sadly, fruit flies swarmed our glasses of red wine for 2 nights in succession which didn't add to ...

«Great place!! Classic “motel” - gotta love the easy drive up to the room. Vince was terrific at check in and recommended several restaurants. We chose The Herring - great fish and chips and a variety of local beers to choose from. Checked out in the morning with more recos for places to stop en route north - Blacks in Harvey - yummy cookies. I’d totally stay at the Picket Fence again. And close to Water st. - either a short walk or a shorter drive so very handy.»

«The view and area is absolutely gorgeous. It’s nice that you have a balcony right onto the water. Place need some TLC, it is very much older style, which is fine because it’s very clean. Wasn’t very excited that our room had a kitchen sink in the bathroom, along with the bathroom sink. Needless to say, I was not using that kitchenette. But as far as I know, the other rooms were not like that. Great place to say stay»
