A comfortable hotel in a historic building that has remained some of its original character and charm.
The location is good; couple of minutes walking from the central station.
The staff was friendly.
Breakfast was nice, served in a cozy location. I missed fresh fruit salad or berries though. Breakfast got quite busy and you will bump into people in the narrow passageways while serving yourself from the buffet. There was a lack of hand sanitizers, e.g. next to the bread where everyone cut bread themselves…
Our room faced the backyard (not the atrium) and was quiet with regards to external noise. However, due to the old structures we heard people walking on the floor above. I was on vacation and wanted to sleep in, but woke up early every morning due to this and couldn’t sleep again:( Earplugs didn’t help. Very annoying. The mattress didn’t hold the quality one would expect from this type of hotel either. Besides that the room was comfortable and had everything we needed. There was a kettle, TV, heaters, and windows could be opened. The bathroom was large.
The hotel both had an indoor lounge and a lovely open-air atrium with lots of plants. Drinks can be bought from the reception.
All in all we had a good stay!
