Family weekend
The hotel was nice but a little tired in places. Elizabeth on reception was absoltuely amazing, really went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable and to cater to our requests. Food in the restaurant was good but unfortunately not very hot, we all had to send it back. Staff were very apologetic and sorted it out so all ok in thw end

I have stayed many times over the years. The early days were great as the hotel was a real treat and the chef in the restaurant provided some exceptional dishes. Last time I stayed was about three years ago and all had gone down hill, I thought I would give it one more try and unfortunately I think it will be the last. I think the hotel is looking a bit tired and just little details that are missing for a hotel of this rating and price. I feel that the quality and service has slipped and you can get a lot better elsewhere for the money.

Couples break
Despite falling ill and needing to go to hospital the hotel were friendly, accommodating and welcoming. Food was nice, rooms were nice and the red was 10/10. From the reception staff- the chefs were all so accommodating of my allergies and I felt so comfortable, even though I missed 24hr due to being in hospital. Even missing breakfast the next morning by 30 minutes , I asked and there was no problems what so ever in getting breakfast ordered and room service for my partner.. that’s amazing..

Excellent stay.
We had a great stay, staff were really friendly, an amazing breakfast. Didnt get to use spa facilities or restaurant as we were visiting friends. The only slight critism is that the bedding and bathroom was a little bit 'tired'

Its ok
Quality of stay let down by reception staff didnt advise of how to access pool, where it was, that we could use it, or the spa treatments. Hotel is nice, on site restaurant was good.

Weekend break
I have stayed at the Stoke by nayland hotel many times before the pandemic and was always impressed by the standard of hotel accommodation, facilities and the warm customer service that is provided by staff. This weekend I spent 1 night at the hotel with my husband. The staff were wonderful and really went above and beyond to look after us. The food in the bar was fantastic and really reasonable prices and the spa was great. Unfortunately the room we were in 319 was not great and really let down the experience. It was tired and dated, we booked a double bed and received 2 singles pushed together with no topper so you had a massive join in the middle. The mattress was old, stained and uncomfortable so I had to request a duvet from house keeping to lay over mattress to improve comfort. I would give this hotel 4 stars but room really let it down.

My boyfriend & I came here to celebrate our anniversary and we absolutely loved it! The staff were so lovely and welcoming, we thoroughly enjoyed our day/evening spent here. The spa facilities were amazing, we really enjoyed spending time in the relaxing environment. Our room was really lovely, modern, very spacious and clean! Breakfast was lovely and overall absolutely no faults at all. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody & we will for sure be back :)

Superb stay, great service, food, and spa.
Fantastic in every respect but one. Wonderful attentive polite helpful staff. Great food and bar. Delightful spa. My only issue - and it is very minor - is the EV chargers require an app to use and as my google account is not UK based I could not download the app (it only works with UK accounts).

The staff were lovely and fabulous food through out our stay, however, our room and bathroom was very, very tired and let the accommodation down along with a broken air conditioner unit made the stay quite uncomfortable. Also the spa area could have done with a good clean and the water available on poolside was empty for our entire spa experience so not checked regularly.

Comfortable Stay
Comfy bed and lovely shower and room was quiet. We went for a swim but it was split into lanes and all the beds were reserved for members, even though very few being used. So had to put my towel and things on the floor. No guidance from pool reception. Had food in the evening and staff were friendly. We loved the food, good options. Overall good stay. Beautiful grounds.

Between those times, all of our guests receive a reserved lounger during their 2-hour poolside session. Very disappointing
I shall only give a few as only have 1461 characters left. Staff were unhelpful, laxking in any customer service and sometimes plain rude. Rooms very extremely basic. Spa only available for one 2hr slot per day - so do not expect a spa weekend away - no robes in rooms to get to spa either. The restaurant is very lovely and the staff there were extremely helpful, menu was limiting, so staff gave the option to select a meal from the sports bar menu. Food was very good. We had mould in our shower (i was able.to wipe it away so it was mould stains). When we eventually worked out where our room was (as i say staff had no customer service at reception) it was reasonably clean - i picked up the artificial petals that had, i suspect, ordained the bed for valentines and placed them in the bin. Bed was comfortable and was remade for our second night, towels were also replenished for the second night. Rooms are very dated and the TV only offered a few channels (there is nothing else to do all day as you only get 2hrs in spa and we dont play golf!) Would be a good place to sleep if you play golf all day and dont mind lack of customer service. Also still waiting for manager to contact me as per suggestion of receptionist on departure. Very disappointed and quite frankly annoyed that ive just spent £500 on very unrelaxing 2 nights away

Great Business Stay - highly recommended.
Great place for business travel. A little out of the way along some narrow roads but well worth it when you get there. Had an opportunity to play a little golf and the pro-shop were brilliantly helpful. The staff overall were excellent, and the restaurant food is very good. Thanks to Mr. Hugo in the restaurant for his attention to detail and he obviously takes the time to train his people to his very high standards.

Fab first visit - won’t be out last!
Our first visit - we had a wonderful overnight stay. We attended a Fawlty Towers themed evening which was fun. The food was lovely. The hotel itself has a really relaxing, modern feel to it. Great views of the golf course. The spa area was fabulous. The staff were all happy, approachable and efficient. Special mention for Doug and AJ - really helpful :)

Lovely setting service was at times very slow and because the staff semed very young and not very experienced you had to ask more than once and on occasion they brought the wrong glasses or cutlery.
