Believe this is a place gotten lazy on service, refurbishing etc., as they anyways get customers because of the placement in a beautiful little town in the Cotswolds. "

"When I called day ahead to ask about transportation, the lady at the reception laughed at me for asking if I could find an Uber. Our room was lovely, spacious and luxurious. We loved using the pool daily, and it ended up being the most popular activity. Sadly on our arrival, I had noticed that my luggage was damaged and couldn't be properly closed. The tennis court was full of cracks, making it hard to play. During our first dinner at the restaurant we were served bland soup and oversalted fish. As they couldn't accommodate us for an early dinner the next evening, we asked if they could oblige us with a roomservice, to which the arrogant lady said blankly no. We were offered no options with a small child, other than to have a very late dinner. Unfortunately for the hotel, we overheard a couple sitting next to us getting offered roomservice, due to the lady being uncomfortable around so many people. After making a complaint about this to the assistant manager, all she offered us was to have cold sandwiches served at the drawing room. I rang the manager's office for the cottages and made a complaint, being assured this was something they would rectify and told they would contact me via phone or email. They didn't do anything to help with the differential treatment nor the damaged luggage. For 280 punds a night, I expect better. I can't recommend staying there, nor would we be returning. Appalingly unprofessional staff really ruined our stay."
