The sites of two major battles of the American Civil War: the Battle of Chickamauga and the Chattanooga Campaign.
The Battle of Chickamauga, fought September 18–20, 1863, marked the end of a Union offensive in southeastern Tennessee and northwestern Georgia called the Chickamauga Campaign. The battle was the most significant Union defeat in the Western Theater of the American Civil War and involved the second-highest number of casualties in the war following the Battle of Gettysburg. It was the first major battle of the war that was fought in Georgia.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, there are no ice machines in the hotel and the hotel restaurant service wasn't that great. We loved this home! The basement was cold but we all just wore our jackets so we could play all the cool games that were there. Having the river and dock was so nice. I do wish there was more seating in the living room area. Several of the stools were broken and not safe to sit in. I would stay here ...

There were dishes in the drawers that were not at all clean. The grill was not operable. Neither of these things would deter me, because the host was super and the place was very very nice. Location was outstanding. It’s the kind of place I could stay for an extended period.
