Wolfeton House South Front A rough track leads off the main Dorchester - Yeovil road at the end of which is a magnificent C16 manor house. Like many such houses, it has had quite a chequered architectural history, with the oldest surviving parts, being the south front completed in 1528, and the gatehouse (extreme right), dating from 1534. The ancestral home of the Trenchard family, it survives today having been rescued from dereliction by the present owners. Grade I Listed.

«The house was set back from the main house and the main road. This house was one of 3 mews, recently built at the back of the main house with an access road leading up to the mews. Parking wasn't a problem.The house was very warm with toilet and basin downstairs and a bathroom with both bath tub and shower upstairs. «The Stable was as expected, the pictures represent the property perfectly. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend and return. The Stable is on a site with quite a few other holiday lets, all qwerky and luxurious in their own right. Grounds were nice and we walked through the woods to the Clubhouse of the neighbouring golf club. Recommations from us, flip the lounge and the bedroom and then you have an ensuite.
