Summary:

Renovated in 2024, guests will be among the first to experience the top of the line upgrades and finishes including new kitchen with peninsula, updated bathrooms with walk-in shower, smart TVs, and more...

The Space:
This villa is located on the second floor and boasts 850 square feet of optimized island living space. Making this unit truly unique is its panoramic waterfront views, where one can sip on his/her favorite drink while watching the wildlife. The unit features plush master quarters with a renovated en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, a spacious living area that opens up to a large screened-in lanai, a beautifully renovated kitchen featuring quartz countertops, peninsula and new white appliances, and a sleeper sofa for extra guests.

Guest Access:
While this complex has finalized hurricane remediation efforts and is ready to host its first visitors, there may still be construction happening in the area and within South Seas Resort. There may be workers, trailers and trucks in the parking lot, construction activity and some noise, but there will not be any construction inside the unit or in areas that that will directly affect guests ability to access the beach, pool, or stairs. Building elevators are out of order and are expected to be available in early 2024. Please message us prior to booking if you require elevator access and we can confirm if the elevators are available at that time.

Included in the rental of this unit is the use of the many amenities at the Bayside Villas complex, including a heated pool, spa, grill and cooking area, communal laundry room, as well as all South Seas beaches and grounds. The unit is located within a ten minute walk to downtown Captiva Village where one can enjoy great dining at the Keylime Bistro, Mucky Duck, and more! No need to drive!

Access to greater resort amenities such as the pool on the opposite end or the South Seas lounge chair area is not included. We provide beach gear that guests can use during their stay.

Bayside Villas mixed review
We love South Seas but not the unit. The “sunrise” view is only seen by standing on toes, as this 2nd floor unit is behind mangrove trees. Few amenities in the condo. Needs serious cleaning. Love Captiva itself and rented bikes and a golf cart from YOLO which was great.

Fantastic Location!!
Literal paradise. The proximity to the beach, pools and restaurants is ideal. The unit is super clean and as advertised. You will need quarters for the communal laundry. A few things that would have made the stay a bit better would be adding some essentials to the unit. For example, - bulk toilet paper & paper towels (instead of 1 roll for an entire week) - garbage bags and cleaning supplies (again, when staying for a week, these items are necessary) - a vacuum or broom with dust pan (again, would be very helpful with all of the sand) - filtered water or larger jugs for filling (the tap water tastes like salt) - and finally, salt and pepper, food storage and bag clips would be great for longer stays. We were able to purchase these items on the island, but when flying in from out of state would have been nice to have on site. We will definitely be back, we absolutely loved the island and resort. It was a treat!

Nice apt in great location though a few limitations.
The unit was sufficient and as advertised though the kitchen was poorly stocked. There were not enough pots/pans/lids to cook dinner. There were no staples for cooking nor storing food. It wasn't clear that many of the resort's amenities were not available to us as VRBO guests. The gym, trolley and all resort restaurants were off limits as a VRBO apt.

Perfect for me!
I booked this villa the night before going ! It was a great getaway! The property manager was very responsive to my questions and was very accommodating with a personal request with checking in. The Villa itself had all the basic necessities for me but would need a bit more for 3+ people . More Kitchen utensils and serving bowls, baking sheets and dish towels are needed. The view is beautiful but is a bit obstructed by the hedge. A high top table would be nice to enjoy a better view. The morning sunrise is not to be missed! There is an umbrella and cart for the beach but the chairs provided are not really beach chairs.... they are folding stadium chairs . I brought my own so it wasn’t a problem. Location was greatest it is close to the beach and“downtown” of Captiva. I would stay there again !
