Relax in the stunning Masseria Misocampo Tiri, in the heart of the Salento countryside! This stylish hideaway for 5 people is the ideal base for exploring one of the most beautiful regions of Italy.

Hidden away from the outside world, on the edge of the charming town of Calimera, this traditional house has been carefully restored. The interiors are a wonderful combination of ancient stonework, vaulted ceilings and contemporary furniture.

Inside, there is a series of airy rooms with arched stone ceilings. The spacious living/dining room is furnished with a large sofa, a flat-screen TV and a dining table for 8 people. Glass doors on either side open onto the terrace and garden, bringing the outside indoors. The separate kitchen is sleek and super modern with a central island and sit-down breakfast bar for quick snacks. Glass doors lead out to the shaded terrace and outdoor dining area. The owners have lavished great attention on the well-equipped kitchen which includes an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and coffee machine.

The outside spaces have been as carefully created as the interiors. At the rear of the house, there is a shaded veranda with, armchairs and café-style tables and chairs looking out over a green lawn. There is also a stone BBQ. At the front, there is an attractive open courtyard.

Sleeping
Bedroom 1: A contemporary bedroom under a traditional arched stone ceiling. This room is furnished with a double bed, flat-screen TV, an en suite bathroom and glass doors leading to the veranda.
Bedroom 2: This beautiful bedroom has a double bed, an armchair that converts into a single bed and extensive wardrobes. There is a private bathroom next to this bedroom


Bathrooms
Both bathrooms are modern and stylish. They are each fitted with a shower, basin, bidet and WC.
There is also a WC and basin off the living room.

Location
The property is on the edge of Calimera, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. The town’s historical centre is a 4-minute drive or 30-minute walk. Here you will find the traditional white houses as well as palaces and beautiful churches. For self-catering, the town’s weekly market takes place on Thursday and is the best place to pick up the freshest local ingredients to cook at home. Alternatively, there is a supermarket just 7 minutes away on foot.

Calimera makes a great base for exploring the Salento peninsula. The area’s most beautiful beaches are all within easy reach. The beaches at Otranto (20 minutes), Porto Cesareo (40 minutes) and Gallipoli (30 minutes) are known for their pristine sea and shallow waters, ideal for younger children and snorkelling.

Golfers will enjoy the two courses near the town of Acaya (22 minutes) or for more exercise and a hike through unspoilt Mediterranean countryside, there is the WWF nature reserve of Le Cesine (25 minutes).

The closest airport is at Brindisi - just 50 minutes away by car.
