«We only had a very short stay but found the property to be a beautiful old farmhouse with fantastic old features, lovely open fire with plenty of logs and character. Old worn stairs, exposed wooden beams and not a right angle in the place ! Nice and quiet and well out the way. Doggy was very welcome as well.»

«Positives - really lovely location a very short distance from Port Sunlight museum and Lady Lever Gallery. We booked for the guided tour and it was very enjoyable and interesting. Plenty of space for four adults - lovely lounge and huge very pretty main bedroom Ample hot water and good shower. However there was no lock at all on the toilet door and not one of the four of us were able to engage the bolt on the separate bathroom door. «Great location , off street parking a plus. Clean bedding and towels . Enjoyed the Nespresso coffee machine ! Some decoration , furniture showing signs of wear and tear. . Pizza cutter and a bin in the bathroom would be good. Great for a short stay and communication from host fab .»

«A lovely, welcoming property, which was perfect for a catch up, with ample beds, towels and bedding, enough utensils for cooking a quick meal before relaxing with drinks on the patio, in the hot tub, in the airy living space or all of the above! Everything was well appointed and easy to find, loved the en suite wet room. The chickens provided unexpected entertainment and the neighbouring sheep and alpacas were very chill. «Perfect for exploring Chester on foot and close to the station. Lovely comfy beds but the house itself was not as clean as I would have liked and there are a few maintenance issues but nothing to spoil the stay. We had a great week there. The size of the house was perfect for our family of 5 with older teenagers, not a huge amount of living space for a bigger group though.»

«After booking and paying in full the hosts went off grid, not only would they not respond to us, but Vrbo couldn’t get hold of them either. We were left with 3 children and a baby with nowhere to stay, 4 hours away from home. Avoid this host at all costs. Vrbo were equally unhelpful in resolving the matter, telling us to sort our own arrangements out for ourselves (at 5pm!). An incredibly stressful time, would absolutely not recommend these hosts, or Vrbo as a booking platform.»

«We had a wonderful time with a group of young people at the start of a 26 week employability and life skills programme. The rooms are comfortable, the kitchen is at the heart of the property and we could all sit around the table to eat our meals.The location is great for walks and the garden good for exploring. A fabulous time was had by all.»

«Stayed for 1 night and everything was great. Hot tub was ready and hot for us as stated. The house was spotless and garden was tidy. Only fault i could find is that the bath plug doesn’t shut fully, but it’s also a shower so it doesn’t matter. The smallest bedroom out of the 3 had a bed and which was kinda like a camp bed so the edges were metal but it wasn’t an issue either really.»

«Easy access to places in the area and it is so Green. When not travelling, close the gate and you feel like you are at home. Any questions we had were dealt with very quickly. A good break.»

«Lovely location, Spotlessly clean, cozy and very nice little extra touches thank you We were lucky to park just outside but there is the car park close by if you cant find somewhere. «Dette er et fantastisk hotell i enden av hovedgaten i Chester. Store flotte rom, nesten som store hybler med alt på rommet. Har tatt vekk matsaler og alt annet. Bare rom, med et lite kjøkken. Det viser på prisen. Mulig for lett frokost. God hjelp i disken 24/7.»

«Pre check in email was very useful about how to find the nearest car park, but missed the part about not being able to book the parking for more than 24 hours so you have to sit for your current session to expire before paying again. Check out time was incorrect stating 1100 when booking email stated by noon. I reply to confirm but didn’t hear back from property. Messaged and called to try and arrange a late check out but no answer or reply via the message facility on here. Panel missing from ...
