"Pro's and cons: Pro's first: good location, a short drive from Luino, a good sized lakeside town. You can take ferries from Luino all round the lake, including to the Borromean islands. You'll have to spend some time aquainting yourself with the ferry timetable and a map of the lake. Nothing much goes on in Dumenza itself. "The apartment is clean and spacious, at 6’3 I was worried that I would be constantly ducking to get about but it wasn’t like that at all. Gianni and Danna were both very friendly and their garden is extremely peaceful. The walk up to Monte Faie from the end of their road was spectacular and the cascade at rovegro is also worth a visit"

"What we loved is that Torno is not too far from Como. You will need to take the bus to get there as the torno water taxi is closed right now but to be honest, the bus is better if you have luggage. Take route to house that goes behind tobacco shop, it will be easier yo navigate. There is a wonderful restaurant not far with one of the prettiest views on the lake. The service is full waited and a wonderful experience. You will want to buy bus tickets same day to get there and another to get back...

"Corona is a charming village high in the mountains outside Lugano. We loved our stay in this spacious and comfortable house. It has a spectacular view of the mountains and Lake Lugano. The village has a charming church, shops, many ancient houses, a few hotels, and a large swimming pool open to the public. Nearby are hiking trails in all directions. It is perfect for a family vacation."

"Wir kamen in eine sehr saubere und schön eingerichtete Ferienwohnung. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war sehr nett und unkompliziert, sie sprach perfekt deutsch. Die Wohnung liegt unweit der Strandpromenade und auch zum Freibad in Suna und zum Hafen in Pallanza ist es nicht weit. Für die Versorgung gibt es Gaststätten in der Umgebung, es kann aber selbst in der umfangreich ausgestatteten Küche gekocht werden. Die Supermärkte Esselunga und Lidl sind fußläufig , aber natürlich auch mit dem Auto...
