A wonderful place to celebrate our birthdays & see in the New Year together. The property was spacious enough for our family of 9, clean, comfortable & beauifully furnished & decorated. The hot tub was an added bonus which we used every day & at night! Stunning location, with amazing views and just a short drive to Battle and Hastings/Bexhill. Great Communication with the host. Would highly recommend.

Perfect place to celebrate

We were a group of 8 girls , it was a super house for our birthday celebrations, Michael was very helpful and informative throughout the whole booking process , the house is very spacious , it’s equipped with everything you need , the hot tub is fabulous ,set in a beautiful rural location but easy to get to Battle , Bexhill-On-Sea etc .. we had shopping delivered for when we arrived and a local chef to cook on one of the evenings plus several pubs are within walking distance ( probably not when it’s dark tho) I would highly recommend a stay here.

Disappointing

The property was tired and not maintained. It had not been updated for at least 15 years. The cleaning was very bad. Cobwebs, dirty underwear left in a bedroom drawer. The outdoor furniture cushions were in tatters. The metal table and chairs were rusty (not usable). We text the (super) host who lived on the same property "that we were very disappointed" he did not appear, no response.

Wonderful weekend in beautiful Oast House

Our group of 7 friends had a wonderful weekend staying at Michael's Oast House. The property is stunning, beautifully decorated throughout. House was all very clean and tidy and kitchen well stocked with all the utensils, pots and pans we could need We were given a very warm welcome on arrival and a helpful tour of the property when we arrived. The hot tub was an added treat. We'll definitely be making a return visit!

Says what it does on the tin!

Utterly wonderful! We booked the Oast House for our bridal party for the weekend. All I can say is this property is EVEN better than the blurb. It's in a quiet rural location and the countryside is wonderful. The Oast House is well equipped and we had a very warm welcome from our hosts. A short 10 min drive to Battle. Instructions to the venue are clear. Thank you Michael and partner

Delightful very special property

We were a family group age ranges 17 to 82, we stayed for 3 nights. The oast house is a stunning property with a gorgeous ‘very grand’ interior design. We felt like we were staying in a castle ! It was very equipped and we all agreed the beds were very extremely comfortable. The hot tub was a great addition which we all enjoyed. We had a great weekend, thank you Michael.

50th birthday stay with family

The property is lovely and very big!! The host was very responsive to my questions. The downstairs and bedrooms were all lovely with lots of attention to detail. Some of the bathrooms were a little tired and could do with some tlc. We hired the hot tub which added to our stay. Battle is lovely and worth a visit. I had a very happy birthday here and would recommend this property for a large group. We were thinking it would be lovely at Christmas or New Year as well as summer.

Wedding weekend

Perfect property to attend a family wedding. We were nine in total, Mum, Dad, children and grandchildren. There was enough room for all of us to stay comfortably. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The house and grounds are very well kept. The outside BBQ and seating area was very nice and the hot tub was an added attraction. In all I would recommend this property for family gatherings or groups of friends.

Idyllic and multifunctional

We rented Ashbourne Oast for our mum’s 70th birthday weekend and the accommodation is just perfect. Huge amount of space, which can be split into 2 separate dwellings if needed (or even 3 because of an additional stairwell) but is easily opened up to one. It’s perfect if you are searching for somewhere for multiple generations. The location is just fantastic and even when the weather isn’t great you can still get in the hot tub and chill out. We also found an amazing pub, The Ashtree Inn, which is an absolute must just 5 minutes up the road. A really great weekend

Incredible weekend!

What can I say?! This place totally exceeded all our expectations! We have just spent a lovely weekend at Ashbourne Oast celebrating my mum's 70th. We are a party of 9 adults and 3 children. The location is stunning, set of a quiet track and with views of lush green countryside all round. You have use of the outdoor area, which luckily we were able to enjoy when the sun finally came out and it was very peaceful with a lovely lawn for the kids to practice their cartwheels. The house has 2 stunning double bedrooms in either wing of the oast with four poster beds, which really have the wow factor! Plus a further double and twin, both with easy access to their own shower room. There was also a seperate area, which worked perfectly for our party and helped everyone to have their own space, with another beautiful double, seperate kitchen and bathroom, and leading onto the 2nd living room. The main kitchen was very well equipped and lead onto the ample dinning room. We had arranged for a chef to cater for us on the Saturday night (the chef touch, also amazing!) And he was very impressed with all the equipment etc. And after dinner the main living room was very comfy and cosy to sit and play games! The hosts were lovely and Michael was very easy to communicate with and helped out leading up to the event. All in all, we could not have asked for more and if you are planning a family gathering this is the perfect place! My mum was blown away and it was exactly what we hoped for!! Thank you and we hope to stay again soon!!

Family wedding

We had a delightful stay in this lovely property. It was a family get together for a family wedding and the accommodation couldnt have been better or more suitable for our needs. The homeowners were there to greet us and respond to a couple of queries. They were also available if we needed anything further...which we didnt. We would highly recommend this property which is situated in a lovely rural location, close to the busy and interesting little tiwn of Battle.
