Perfect for families!
This apartment worked very well for a family of 6 with four older teens. The location was great - we enjoyed being a bit away from the busier central part of Barcelona. All of the sites were still accessible, but we were very close to the beach and the area itself is vibrant with a lot of restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores. The owner offered two day tours that took us outside the city. It was perfect - only slightly more expensive than similar tours we were looking at with larger groups, but much better to have a personalized experience. We learned a lot about living in Spain from our conversations with him. The apartment is newly renovated and had everything we needed. More space than other apartments we have rented in Europe which was nice for a larger family. We stayed a week and loved every minute of it!

Perfect apartment in great friendly neighborhood
Everything about the apartment was top notch. The neighborhood is both hip and family oriented and convenient to the beach, too many great restaurants to try and everything you might need for day-to-day life. Would stay there again in an instant and recommend it easily to friends and family.

Overall we enjoyed it, location was interesting and easy to get around with public transportation but still a little noisy at night with all the restaurants and bars. One of the bedrooms was strangely arranged and hard to move around in. But they told us they are remodeling it soon anyway. There were some gaps in communication between the owner and manager but it all worked out.

A true vacation!
We had the best time staying in this apartment! It was a perfect size for our group of 6, and everyone we dealt with was charming and knowledgeable about the area, the apartment, and so helpful with all our questions. This was the first time in years I felt I could truly relax and enjoy my time away. So much to see and do, delicious restaurants and the beach just down the street. Would book again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful apartment in a great neighborhood
We had an excellent stay in the apartment. It was a very comfortable space and even in the middle of a historic heat wave the air conditioning kept it cool. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, to the beach and eating in the many excellent restaurants around the area. It was also a great base of operations to see the rest of Barcelona. The host was very accommodating and answered all our questions promptly. I wouldn't hesitate to return on our next trip!

More than just location- it’s the owner that makes it great!
If you want to avoid the tourist crowd and still be not far away from the center of Barcelona (10 min drive in a taxi), walking distance from the beach and where locals are hanging out- this is the place! Restaurants of all kind outside your door, safe neighborhood with local organic market and amazing coffee everywhere. This is it! BUT, that’s really doesn’t matter when you have a host that takes care of you like a family. When one of my family members just upon arrival got so sick that we needed to take her to an urgent care. I called the owner (had his WhatsApp already) and less than 15 min he was there to personally taking us to the hospital and do all the talking for us (since I have no Spanish). The care keep going on even after the discharge from the hospital and checking on us again and again- to make sure we are all doing well. The last thing I can recommend is to hire the full day guided tours offer to you by the host. The personal self tailored experience to our needs with the driving service from location to location made all the difference for us. We managed to visit so much outside the city that we would ever have dreamed of. This is one location I will come back again and again and again!

The apartment was suppose to have been serviced while we were there: 1-electrical dangerously poor -electric sockets are loose, bulbs are not working 2-during the 10 days not a single time anybody came to clean and change beddings

Dear Yousef, first thanks for staying at our property. Its been a pleasure to host you at our flat. Unfortunately we do not offer a daily cleaning basis service as is a self catered apartment. Only on request we can offer housekeeping services but we would need to know it in advance to send the cleaning lady. However we have high quailty Siemens/Bosch washing and drying machine plus we offer clean towels and bed sheets at one of our closets. We are offering a full concierge service. We have a 24 hour phone service. As for the socket all our sockets are btcino (high quality ones) I have checked them after your stay and I have not found the loose one. As for the bulbs you are right there were 2 not working out of the more than 60 we have at the flat. We apologize for that. However if we have know it during your stay we would have sent the maintenance service that we have to solve this problem. We hope that you enjoyed your stay at Barcelona. We are working hard so our guest are happy at our flat. Thanks again for staying with us.

The long stay was great- location is fantastic with a walking boulevard all the way to the beach (about a 10 min walk). Many wonderful restaurants and grocery stores within 2 blocks. There is a taxi stand 1 block away. The internet was very fast and worked very well. Thanks!

Great Condo, Owners and Location
This condo is in a great spot, located next to several quality eating establishments, a few of which are steps out the front door. It is well appointed, secure, functionally well designed, well kept and clean. The area of Poblano is one we would happily visit again. The beach is a ten minute walk and several cheap means of transportation are close by. Barcelona is set up for ease of travel and we felt that staying here. Miguel and Miguel Sr. both ensured we had a quality stay, helped stock the condo, arranged transport to and from the airport and checked in to make sure we were doing well. We would happily stay here again. ***Note***we rated the "Accuracy of Online Listing" 3 stars for one reason. We were denied access to the pool. This was big for us as it we have two children that very much enjoy the water. We were informed by Miguel of an unfortunate incident that took place with a prior guest days before we arrived which created a problem and resulting invalidation of pool use for renting guests. Miguel compensated us for this change. We were treated fairly by Miguel and he did all he could to make up for this. We walked to the beach and had a great time. However, when we checked in, this did end up being a false advertisement for us, contrary to our expectations. I'm sure, knowing the owners as the good people they are, this will be remedied by removing the picture and mention of a pool in their ad or make sure the HOA of the building changes their policy before accepting future reservations under false pretenses. As mentioned, we would most certainly return and use this condo again and highly recommend it.

Fabulous place; great neighborhood near beach and cafes; close proximity to city center
Highly recommend!! Wonderful clean, warm, quiet and well appointed and well decorated flat. Apartment situated on lively avenue in Poblaneu neighborhood with a high-end organic grocery across the street and fruit and vegetable stores and bakeries and cafes and restaurants along the avenue. Beach and parks are a 5+ min walk down the avenue. Old city and city center (Gothic & Las Ramblas area) are an easy/pretty 15 min bike ride away or a quick taxi (easy to find) or uber away. We were a family of 4 (boys 18 & 20) and enjoyed having 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a beautiful kitchen. Beds were all very comfortable and there was little noise from the street below or surrounding apartments. The owners were wonderful! They were incredibly responsive prior to the trip, sharing tips on transportation and food stocking and recommending tour options to explore the city’s architecture and food. They also were incredibly helpful in welcoming us to town and navigating our arrival late at night on Christmas Eve (helping connect us to a private taxi service).

A beautiful apartment in a great location
This apartment was clean, had lovely furnishings and was in a great location. I really appreciated Miguel's quick response to any questions and the warm welcome by his father. We loved the neighborhood and all the restaurants a short walk out the door. Perfect for two couples as the bedrooms are on opposite sides, so each couple has privacy. While we did not cook, the kitchen was well stocked. We loved having the washer with separate dryer, which is rare in Europe. We will definitely try to stay here again if we return to Barcelona. Just what we were looking for
Perfect apartment for two couples on vacation. It was newly, (and tastefully) decorated, clean and quiet, with plenty of room. After a long day of sightseeing and shopping, we all looked forward to the short train ride back to the apartment to relax either in the apartment or at one of the restaurants in the nice surrounding neighborhood. As a bonus, the apartment is also easy walking distance to the beach. Miguel and his father were both very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

Comfortable place
Apartment is very comfortable on a pleasant street with lots of good dining and shops and well appointed. Ten minute walk to the beach and close to the metros. Housekeeping wise: could use a few more towels--two per person; more detergent. Unfortunately we ran into two nights where celebratory bands played loudly well into the night, around 3:00 AM. This made sleeping difficult.

Lovely place to stay
This apartment is lovely. Modern clean and very well equipped.it is in a quite neighbourhood and we found it easy to go by metro to the main area of Barcelona which was only a couple of stops away. We had Miguel's father take us around barcelona on a guided tour which was very good and we learned a lot about the history of Barcelona. The restaurants near the apartment were very good. We would definitely recommend this apartment for a family or couples .

Wonderful apartment in Barcelona!
Miguel was amazing. He communicated frequently with us throughout the rental process. The apartment was perfect for 2 couples prior to our cruise which left out of Barcelona. The apartment is located in a walkable neighborhood and is convenient to catch the metro or a taxi to the port. Miguel handled all of our issues and his father was the perfect host to explaining our stay.

It was a great property in a beautiful neighborhood. The apartment was well-equipped and the air-conditioning work great! Miguel was very nice and spent time showing us the details of the property. It would be nice to have some kitchen towels provided. And it would also be nice to have more than one bath towel per person provided. With these modest exceptions it was a great experience.

This property is wonderful!
We rented the property from May 27-31. We were a family of 4 adults. Mom, dad, daughter (24) and son (21). The apartment is fantastic. What you see in the pictures is what you get. The area around the apartment has some of the best restaurants. Easy walk to the beach. We even walked to Sagrada Familia (about 25 min). When we arrived at the apartment Miguel was there to greet us. He is very informative. We also book the old city and Art Nouveau tour with him. It was great. Lots of walking. Can't say enough about Miguel. You won't be disappointed if you choose this property.

Fantastic Accomodations
My family of four stayed at this terrific apartment for a spring time trip to Barcelona, Spain. This great three bedroom apartment in the Poblenou district of Barcelona has everything you would want: Great neighborhood, terrific restaurants nearby, wifi, cable tv, a short walk to the beach plus on-site small pool for a quick afternoon dip. As it is away from the very busy and more touristy areas I found it a much quieter and more pleasant experience. It was very easy to navigate the metro system and I was very happy we decided to forgo staying near the shopping districts or the high traffic, high noise areas of Barcelona for this larger apartment. The kitchen was outfitted with high end equipment and all the pots, pans and utensils needed plus literally within a few blocks are all the breaderies, bakeries, wine stores, and food markets you need to stock up for a quick meal. Or walk out the door instead and hit any number of fabulous restarurants! The high quality espresso machine was enough to make me insanely happy. The beds and linens were very luxurious and I am a picky person about mattresses but they were very nice. The place is just as nicely decorated as the designer high-end hotels, has little luxuries and we found it perfect to relax and call home. But the real star of this accommodation is the owner and his family. Miguel makes the place really shine because he goes waayyy above and beyond to provide help, set up tours, provide on point restaurant suggestions, and he outfitted the place with food at our request for a bit more like a boss. Plus his wine selections would make any high end restaurant very happy. Big thumbs up for this place. My family felt at home, and I would go back in a heartbeat. The days soaking up a bit of sunshine on that little patio with the breeze and sun... priceless.

Great location, well equiped apartment
My wife and I, plus our son and adult granddaughter spent ten perfect days here early in January. The hosts made sure that we would find upon arrival basic supplies of detergent, toiletries and even coffee. Poblenou is close enough to downtown to make it easy the visiting of the main points of interest, but at the same time was not in itself a tourist attraction. Nevertheless there are inumerous restaurants, coffee shops etc close to the apartment. Overall you feel you are in the middle of an ordinary and pleasant residential section of Barcelona. Definitively a great choice.

Everything everyone says is true. The reviews are why we stayed at this property. Don't hesitate. Perfect location in a local area as opposed to staying as a tourist. The restaurants in the area were great also. Great coffee close by to start your day. In the next block are cabs waiting to take you anywhere. Apartment was super clean!!! And host was beyond helpful and kind. Have a great stay.

Fabulous location with Great space!
We booked then thought perhaps we made a mistake with the location and considered switching. We're so glad we listened to Miguel and stayed in Poblenou. We loved the location. We toured all over the city as well as Montserrat and Cadeques. After our long days it was so nice to get back to the local feeling of Poblenou. We loved all of the restaurants in the area including Recasens, Els Pescadors and Dos Cielos. We even enjoyed pizza, pasta and eggplant at the pizzeria just left of flat. There is a great place to the right for fabulous desserts and all stay open late which was fabulous when midnight and wanting something sweet on your way in. The beach is a short walk and the metro and taxi stand is close by to make the city super easy to navigate. I highly recommend this flat if you want to be a part of the tourist areas during the day and local by night!! Thanks again Miguel for all of your great advice and a lovely flat we really enjoyed for our 9 day stay in December.

Excellent accommodations for 2 couples looking to vacayion in Barcelona.
Property was clean, well maintained, and generally comfortable. Taxi fare to the city center and many attractions was under 15 euros. Surrounding neighborhood was very pleasant.

Awesome, loved it
This was a great experience. The owner, Miguel setup our pickup from the airport and when we arrived the driver was waiting for us. Upon arrival Miguel's Dad (also called Miguel) a very sweet man was waiting for us and gave us a tour of the flat and all instruction on how to operate the appliances. The owner had left a bottle of red wine and a bowl full of ripe peaches which i thought was a nice touch. The flat was clean, modern , well equipped and very nice. The flat has a balcony that faces the intersection and a great place to have your morning coffee or late night drinks watching people taking their kids to school, older people walking, younger kids roller skating. It is located in Poblenou area, a semi residential area full of trees and sidewalks full of life. It is a beautiful area full of restaurants, bars, bakeries, grocery stores, shops and whatever you need. You can spend a good couple of weeks just exploring the hidden gems in this neighborhood alone. Very friendly neighborhood and after a few days patronizing a couple of our favorite restaurants we were getting complimentary after dinner drinks. If you like to eat, drink and relax, this is the place for you. Miguel had also arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport. Right on time a very sweet lady cab driver showed up and too us to airport stress free. I recommend it to all my friends. Awesome job Miguel.

We felt at home!
My boyfriend and 20 year old son and I just spent over a week in this apartment and we loved it. We agree with the other reviews about the location and the feeling of respite it gives from the hustle and bustle and touristy sections of Barcelona. Poblenou does not have the old historic charm of other parts of Barcelona, but it is a peaceful neighborhood with its own charm. It's a place where you feel like a local. We could watch or mix with the many families that live in Poblenou and who gather in the evening with kids playing and teenagers skateboarding in the Rambla as is the Spanish custom. We rented bikes from a place down the street (Pedal Bikes) which turned out to be a great way to get around. We also found tennis courts very nearby (yes - red clay!) at the Club Olympia for very reasonable fees and went (by bike) every day. Miguel and his dad were very good hosts and made us feel at home with gifts of wine and fruit and helped us in so many ways. The AC and Internet worked just fine. The TV did not work but we didn't need it. Taxi stand right on the corner. Great bakery where we bought bread every day. We loved the foodie stroll with Aida. All in all a lovely time!

Thanks for your nice comment. Our Poblenou flat is located on one of the most charming boulevards in Barcelona: The Rambla del Poblenou. Its out of the tourist crowds with very easy access to the most important sightseeing’s in Barcelona. The area has lots of local and cozy cafes and restaurants. We are glad that you enjoyed the local life. Regarding the TV I check it just after you left and the problem was that it was not set the right input. I just set the input 3 and everything is working fine again. We do offer Satellite TV (with all major channels). We want to thank you for staying with us. Its been lovely to have you as a guest at our flat.

Fabulous stay in Barcelona!
We had a wonderful stay at Miguel's apartment. It was very comfortable for our family of four. He neighborhood was very safe and pretty. We almost felt like we were living in Barcelona for the week. The apartment was very clean and nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable (although the king bed was a little too big for the room and we couldn't get around it easily) Miguel was very helpful prior to put stay answering my email questions right away. The best thing we did was the foodie stroll with Regina! It was also easy to get a taxi and walk to the beach!

Convenient location in great neighborhood
The property was perfect for two couples. It was very clean with all the necessary kitchen utensils. Miguel's parents greeted us and showed us everything we needed to know. They also provided us with fresh fruit and a bottle of wine which was awesome! The property is only a short walk to the beach down a relaxing boulevard and also very easy to access the Metro. There were more bar/restaurants within a 3 block distance than we could visit in a month stay. Despite all the activity nearby we could not hear what was going on outside because of the great sound proof windows. We loved Spain and would definitely recommend staying in this flat. Fun in Barcelona
We found the Sant Marti property to be good for our family of 5. The neighborhood was safe and it was easy to hail a cab at the taxi stand about one block away from the apartment (even at 6AM on a Sunday morning when we were on the way to the airport). We found the amenities on the Rambla to be superb and availed ourselves of the wine store, fruit/vegetable market, and fish store. This gave us a true feeling for how Barcelona lives and not just the typical tourist experience you get in other parts of the city. That said, since this was our first trip to Barcelona we didn't realize how far out this neighborhood is from the main city center. We like to walk a lot on our vacations and it was a solid 35-40 minute walk from this apartment to the Gothic or El Born neighborhoods. While easily accessible by cab or public transportation, this is not a location where you can just walk out your door and be in the middle of the city. Keep that in mind if that is an important factor for you.

Fantastic apartment in a great neighborhood!
We just returned from a week in Barcelona, and we really loved the apartment. Before we arrived, the owner, Miguel, gave us a long list of recommendations for places to eat, tourist attractions, optional tours, and need-to-know information about the neighborhood, so we really felt prepared upon arrival. He was also very responsive any time we had questions leading up to (and during) the trip. The apartment was very comfortable, not to mention well decorated and clean. We stayed along with another couple, so with 3 beds and two baths we really had the opportunity to spread out and get our privacy when we wanted. The shared space was perfect for hanging out and enjoying some small bites and local wine. The Poblenou neighborhood is really a hidden gem. I would definitely recommend this area over any of the more heavily traveled, touristy locations. There are a ton of great restaurants and bakeries, as well as a market and a pretty great wine shop. You won't find many tourists, and the prices are much more reasonable than places like El Born, Barri Gotic, or La Rambla. The great part is that when you want to go sightseeing in those areas, you can jump on one of the two trains that are less than a 10 minute walk from the apartment. I would definitely go back and stay there again, and I would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone going to Barcelona!
