Cute little place

Despite the poor reviews, we were pleasantly surprised with this property. It was very clean and neat. The location wasn’t terrible, we found a cute breakfast spot just a few blocks down. We did like that each room could control its own temperature. The decor was cute, too. The pictures on the listing are deceiving; it’s a condo so you need to go up about 14 or so steps to get to it. It’s much smaller than it appears in the pictures. The water pressure in the showers is not good, the shower in the main bedroom is TINY (as is the bathroom itself). There’s no window shade on the top half of the window so if you don’t want people to see you, take a shower at night. The beds are older and in need of replacing, the queen bed in the 2nd bedroom came off the frame while my family was asleep. Thankfully, no one was hurt and nothing was damaged. There is a couch in the kitchen/living area. Not a table, but there’s no tv in there. Only in two of the three bedrooms. The rug to wipe your feet going into the house is absolutely filthy so wiping your feet won’t matter. The chairs and seating are broken but if you sit there you’ll just stare at an alleyway. All in all it served its purpose for one night but it could use some TLC.

Scam

The “unit” is so small. Pictures are extremely deceiving. Terrible smell. Kitchen table has one chair. The chairs out front are ripped so you can’t sit outside. Not that you’d want to..the view is an alley. Actually saw two rats. Master bath is a 2x2. Bedding had stains. For the amount of money I paid, this was a complete scam. Very disappointing . My family didn’t stay..they had to drive home because the conditions were so bad.

Bare bones

No living room or space to sit for a property that sleeps 6. Only bedrooms and a kitchen. Three broken chairs, junky towels and no shampoo, soap or conditioner. Really just a place to sleep.

Although it was a quiet area, the view of walls leading into a alley as your first look while leaving the property isnt the best. The secondary shower might work if you're 5 foot and dont have to turn around.... yes, its thats small.... honest opinion- not worth the $...

The bed was broken. I reported it right away and never heard back. I was there with my brother and his children and we were down a bed which made it difficult for us with 5 people. People had to sleep on floor which there was barely any floor space.

Don't let the pictures fool you.

The town of Ocean City, NJ is very nice. From the people, to the drive into the city. It is truly a beautiful site to see. This property on the other hand is not at all what we expected. The HVAC in each room is a nice touch, if they worked. My children were cold until we found portable heaters in the closet. The property looked clean until a roaches came out onto the kitchen floor. The property is private and there are grocery stores, fast food and other stores nearby. Great spot but the up keep of the property amenities and pest control need serious work.

Disappointed

This was the worst experience. The host booked two reservations for the same day. Both of us arrived around the same time. The other party also had the number to access to the property. The steps were extremely icy and slippery no salt was put down. The apartment was extremely cold. The power kept cutting off. There was no cold water. The host would not respond to non of my messages. This was a nightmare. I would appreciate it if I could be refunded for all of my payment.

There was some kind of leak that flooded the hall bathroom so that we could not use it at all. This was not our use of the bathroom, it is some plumbing problem with the apartment. I had to clean up the flooded bathroom floor and wash towels two times. I contacted the owner and asked her to call me. She kept messaging me in VRBO even though I asked her to text or call. The first time she asked if we could make do with the one bathroom off the primary bedroom because it was the day before Thanksgiving. I told her that was fine but I expected a repair Friday. Our two young adult children had to come through our bedroom to use the bathroom for 3 nights. The bathroom flooded a second time. (When this happened, I concluded the problem was being caused by the use of the shower in the primary bathroom. Again I messaged the owner and explained the problem persisted and was worse. This happened as we were trying to get ready to go to my sister's for Thanksgiving dinner (thursday). We checked out on Saturday never having heard back from her. She totally ghosted me. Now, it's December 9th - I still never heard from her. I asked her to refund us some money because we paid for a rental with two bathrooms and could never use one of them. I also had to clean up the flooded bathroom twice, so I think that warrants some courtesy compensation. Not related to refund request but worth sharing -the kitchen is poorly equipped. And no shade on the primar bathroom window overlooking a busy street.

Over all the place was ok except a broken toilet seat and no working AC in the one bedroom. Send message to owner and no response or even a visit to fix the tiolet seat and AC will we were there.

Stay Away

Upon checking in found dead roaches throughout the home/ apartment. Dropped off our baggage and headed out for the day. Upon return to the home there was a heavy foul sewage smell. Had to leave windows open and burn candles for the duration of our window. Contacted owner and was told thanks we’ll look into that. Owner then stopped responding now accommodations or help was given with the issues. Highly recommend staying away from this place.

DO NOT STAY HERE

We stayed for thanksgiving weekend- the heat was not working in the property with temperatures below 50 degrees in the apartment. We had an alarm from a nearby store going off at 3am. The bed linens also had a sour smell to them. To be clear there is not a living room in the property. I would strongly encourage you to look at another listing!!

The property was very comfortable, everything you need for a home away from home. I

This trip was a relaxing few days away from home with my mother and aunt and doggy. We took our time, going around, meeting friends and relaxing indoors. Whole the trip was short, it was an opportunity for them to get out and walk around. I would recommend this place, however there are quite a few steps to the place and the parking is in the back. But, we were comfortable and felt safe.
