My mother was treated horribly by an employee who was rude beyond belief and barked comebacks at my mother. She said she couldn’t help it because she lost her mother not too long ago. My mother understood but felt that she should have stayed out of the hotel for her grieving process. The guests should not have to suffer for staff problems. She was also told that the parking would not be a problem while she departed for a few days to fly out on her trip.
She returned and stayed a few more days.
When she checked out she informed the front desk of the rude employee and the fact that she had been overcharged for the parking that she had been told would be another price. The desk manager used the same excuse about the employee having lost her mother so it should be understood that she was rude. In the end, the manager told her that the room and parking cost would be taken care of by the hotel. My mother stays there very often as she travels quite a bit and always travels from Atlanta.
She just received a bill for the hotel and parking in full. She never should have been told that the bill was going to be taken care of. This is not the way in which a Westin lives up to it’s fine reputation.
