Charming accommodation
Beautifully designed, very clean and thoughtfully equipped property in quiet location with off-road parking and easy access to main routes. Hosts communicated promptly and clearly and were very helpful and welcoming.

What A Lovely Wee Cottage!
Sean and Carolyn were very welcoming to these 2 weary Canadians. We were extremely happy when the suitcase the airline lost actually showed up the next day. They kept it safe for us (It was protected from the rain while we were out exploring) and when our power bar blew the breaker they immediately came over to fix the situation. We enjoyed our sleep, our great water pressure in the shower the next day, and their thoughtfulness in providing fruit and cereals, tea, and coffee for us too. It is a beautiful place, the grounds as well, and we liked seeing their chickens and cats wandering around too.

Great place for a short stay
The labels on the survey were not showing, but the property was 5 stars across the board. Just about 25 minutes from Heathrow and close to Windsor Great park. Sean and Caroline were great hosts and the chickens were were very friendly - some of them promised to write! Nice pubs and restaurants nearby. It was a perfect spot to get ready for our long flight home after 4 weeks in England.

Lovely place to stay outside of London
We arrived into Heathrow early and stayed at the Old School House. The owners (Caroline and Sean) were very hospitable and helpful with information. The location is fantastic. Very close to Ascot and Sunninghill. It is an excellent place to stay when you start your travels in the UK. The property is clean and comfortable with nice furnishings. This was so much better than another hotel. Also a very good base if you’d like to visit nearby Windsor (there’s a bus that takes you directly from the property or it’s a short drive). I highly recommend the property to you.

We very much enjoyed hosting John and Jacqui. They were friendly and delightful to chat to (and remarkably bright and cheery even though they had just arrived all the way from Australia). They were great guests, they looked after our cottage perfectly and left it very clean and tidy. We’d welcome them back any time.

Amazing stay
This property was very quaint and well located for getting to London and Windsor. The hosts accommodated our requests and were very pleasant to communicate with. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a nice little place to stay when in England.

Lovely Cottage
This cottage is perfect in every way. It had everything we could have asked for. Fully stocked and super clean. An across the street easy bus ride into Windsor and easy access to the train stations which we took out to Stonehenge. I spent 3 days there with my adult daughter who would love to live there permanently. ; ) The hosts were charming and helpful no matter what the hour. The only thing I wish is that we had spent more time here. A+/5 Star all around wonderful place to stay and visit. Highly recommend! Thank you Sean and Caroline for helping to make this a magical trip for us. I would love to return someday. xoxo

Early check-in was accomodated after lunch at the nearby pub. Everything was exactly as per listing. 5-minute drive to shops in Ascot, convenient bus to Windsor across the street from the unit.

Perfect stay
Beautiful little property for a weekend away. Tastefully converted old school house. Hosts were excellent and made us feel extremely welcome and provided a lovely basket of breakfast options and fresh fruit. We will definitely be coming back to spend more time in the area and will certainly be staying at the old school house. Definitely 5 star accommodation.

Great little find perfect location
Just returned from a lovely 3 night stay at Caroline and Sean’s beautiful little character cottage in their garden. The decor is extremely tasteful and modern, gorgeous feature fire place, and a fab print of David Bowie on the wall. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, spotlessly clean and you couldn’t ask for a better location. Close to Ascot town/racecourse, Windsor and Virginia Water. There is also wonderful old pub just down the road, The Thatched Tavern, within a 5 minute walk that serves great food. Caroline and Sean were wonderful hosts, both very friendly and on hand if needed, but not at all intrusive. Excellent communication as unfortunately we had to change our booking several times due to lockdowns. Would highly recommend and hope to return ourselves in the near future. Thank you.

Fab location
Wow, what a fantastic location and accommodation. Owners were on hand but not intrusive, very kindly left milk, coffee, tea and little extras for our use, also toiletries. The accommodation was very clean, the best we have had, fresh and inviting. The location was just right, pubs and restaurants very nearby and close enough to travel around the area to local attractions, villages and towns, it could not have been better placed. We had a lovely 4 night stay and would recommend to all ages, would certainly visit again. A big thank you to Caroline and Sean.

We were delighted to host Pauline and David for a few nights. They were a charming, polite and quiet couple who were out and about for much of their stay so we hardly saw them. They looked after our cottage perfectly and left it in spotless and pristine condition. We’d happily host them again.

Perfect location! Both Ascot and Windsor are very close by. The owners have thought of everything and they couldn’t have been more helpful during our stay. Felt very homely and cosy. They provided a Really useful information book filled with lots of information about the local area and places to eat close by. Phenomenal stay at the Old School
Caroline and Sean had thought through every single need and want for the place and taken extra precautions to have the Old School House in order with COVID-19 regulations. It was the most beautiful stay. Everything I wanted out of a short trip for a change of scenery and from hosts as well. I could not speak more highly of my stay. Sean and Caroline have set up an amazing little cabin for your stay. Their booklets of local info, history of the cabin, and other useful info was really useful. The cabin decor is modern, clean and beautiful. Would highly recommend.

Zauberhafte Weihnachtferien
Wir hatten das Glück unsere Weihnachtstage in diesem gemütlichen Cottage zu verbringen. Unsere lieben Gastgeber haben uns so herzlich empfangen - das Willkommenskörbchen und einen eigenen kleinen Tannenbaum haben uns das Ankommen zusätzlich versüßt. Caroline und Sean haben sich bei der Gestaltung und Organisation der Cottagevermietung kluge Gedanken gemacht und die Liebe zum Detail konnten wir überall erkennen. Wir können das Cottage ausnahmslos weiterempfehlen. Es ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt für viele Spaziergänge im Grünen oder für Fahrten in die schönen Ortschaften. Unsere persönlichen Empfehlungen:Windsor Great Park mit dem Long Walk, Sevill Gardens (Botanischer Garten), Oxford. Bei Waitrose (Supermarkt) in Sunningdale gibt es viele Köstlichkeiten. Und ein Besuch in der Thatched Tavern sollte ebenfalls nicht fehlen. Wir wünschen allen weiteren Gästen eine magische Zeit. Caroline und Sean macht weiter so! Dankeschön für den wunderbaren Aufenthalt.

A pleasant and relaxing stay - no regrets
My lady and I booked this quaint and idyllic venue to serve as a getaway for us after our wedding reception. We were not disappointed! Caroline & Sean did a wonderful job of ensuring we were well looked after - we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and warm, not to mention festive; our only regret is that we couldn’t book a longer stay Definitely a place we would recommend to family and friends for a scenic and peaceful escape haven

The quaint Schoolhouse
Sean and Caroline are wonderful hosts. They answered all of our questions while considering booking the cottage. The Schoolhouse had everything you’d need for a stay in Ascot, easy access to London even. They provided everything from shower and bathroom supplies to snacks and breakfast materials, even thought of milk for cereal and coffee. One thing we noticed while traveling in England, staying in older properties the lack of plugins for the vast amount of electronics we travel with was not a problem at the Schoolhouse, there were plenty of outlets for a transformer and USB plugs. There is a local pub within walking distance for those that might want a pint and don’t have a driver. We will definitely consider staying there again on our next trip to England. Sean and Caroline's place is really "top of the line" - you'll feel like you're staying in a luxury hotel with their kitchenette, bathroom, and furnishings. But then you'll be reminded of the charm of this old school house that has a sweet history!

Beautiful retreat just outside of London
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Old School House. Hosts were very friendly and the property was all set up and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the well-kept garden and having a glass of wine. Great location for making a trip to Windsor Castle.

Best lodging experience of trip
Carolyn and Sean are wonderful hosts. The old school house, walk to amazing ancient pub, beautiful- safe location, bus service just across the street, incredible tourist sites in area. JUST GREAT!
