«Nice place. We cooked meals inside on the stove but also over a fire at the fire pit. There is a small creek behind the cabin that runs when it rains out. That was pretty cool. No nearby light pollution so the sky is really dark at night and you can see a lot of stars. Overall a great experience. Two wineries close by. It's on the wine trail. Close to everything in Southern Illinois. We went to all the state parks.»

«The lodge was just as described, and more. It was clean and attention was paid to details. Before we arrived, our host recommended places to see and a restaurant called Mase's Place, that didn't disappoint. Unfortunately, it rained the day we arrived and all the next day so we didn't explore the property like we had hoped to, but we, along with our 2 furbabies, very much enjoyed sitting on the back porch listening to the rain hit the leaves. «It was very clean and had a good feel. It was well stocked. I appreciated the cute little ice tray in the freezer that was full. I also appreciated 4 waters in the fridge.
