A great place to go for a day trip in Nova Scotia, Canada. The Cape D'Or lighthouse on the Bay of Fundy is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the journey and never crowded. There is a seasonal restaurant and small inn at the lighthouse keepers buildings.

A daytime shot of the dramatic 200m cliffs at Cape d'Or at the entrance to the Minas Basin. According to Wikipedia, the name Cape d'Or came from French explorers who witnessed the bright native copper deposits that appeared golden.
Located near Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia, the Cape d'Or Lighthouse sits atop a basalt reef in the Bay of Fundy. There is a great restaurant and guest house on site if you are looking for a unique Nova Scotia vacation experience. The current concrete lighthouse was built in 1965.
Amazing spot to watch the sunset and/or sunrise. One cabin is a place you can't rent out and the other is a little cafe/restaurant. I always go on off-season so both are always closed. Will update once I go and they're open!
