Villas are amazing!
The villas are really amazing (even nicer than the pictures show) and the whole family loved staying there!! And the view were absolutely stunning, even though we did not have a "beach front" villa . The whole hotel area is nice, although the pool area is quite large. It is a bit of a walk (10-15 minutes) to the grocery store, however the walk is along the beach and super nice! Since the hotel is a bit secluded I recommend that you take this walk anyway to see what the area has to offer. The staff at the hotel were super and we felt very well taken care of! Our 14-year old especially appreciated the birthday cake from the hotel that was placed on the kitchen table when we arrived home one evening. Small gestures that says a lot about the good service we received.

Suitable for families
We lived two weeks in the villas of Villas Mlini. I dare to say we were lucky with our apartment (591) which was located right by the sea , had a perfect view and a spacious terrace. The room itself is small, but has everything you need. The standard was good , but had some areas of water damage witch should be easy to fix or paint. The daily cleaning was very good and the cleaning lady was super sweet as we had a two year old with us, who makes a bit more mess. The general cleaning that was made on beforehand was a bit less. There was spiderwebs under the bed and in several corners. The outdoor pool was very nice , and we really loved the young people who had the mini club. The indoor pool was not so appealing. Large areas of water damage and mold areas on the walls and in the roof. The desk service varied a lot. Check in and out was ok. But when we needed to book transport, we were asked to come back two times to book closer to departure , or else they would loose the reservation . This sounds a bit unprofessional in my opinion. All in all I would recommend this place as a family with small children. It is a nice and quiet area and the villas are very charming:)

Familieferie på Villas Mlini
Flotte leiligheter, med god plass og bra utstyrt. Stort og fint bassengområde. Servicen blant de ansatte på hotellet var veldig og de har hele veien stått på for å gi oss en god ferieopplevelse. Flere restauranter i nærområdet og enkel forbindelse med Dubrovnik og Cavtat med båt eller buss.

We stayed 5 nights at Villas Mlini. Conveniently located between the airport (15 min by car) and Dubrovnik (15 min by car) . Absolute paradise!!! The villas are fantastic, calm and with direct view over Mlini Bay. The facilities of Hotel Astarea are quite ok, nothing fancy since this is an old hotel, but everything was in very good shape. The outdoor pool and garden are in fact very posh, everything maintained and clean. The breakfast at Hotel Astarea offers everything you want. Just a few minutes walk are the boat haven (with regular ferry service to Cavtat and Dubrovnik; if the sea is calm), a few local restaurants (which offer very nice local cuisine), some cafes etc. If you have kids, there are a bunch of very nice playgrounds in 5-10 min distance walk. Check-in etc is taken care at hotel Astarea, so tell your driver to go there. They might not know "Villas Mlini". We arrived already early in the morning and despite check-in time is 15:00, the villa was ready for us. No need to tell about nature and the water. This is probably the best Europe has to offer. Anyway, it cannot get better, we will definitely come back.

Fint hotell "Dubrovnik" - stille og barnevennlig
Egen "villa" mellom Cavtat og Dubrovnik tilknyttet Hotell Astarea og derfor med tilgang til alle faciliteter som, trimrom, innendørs basseng og to utenførs basseng (meget barnevennlige). Barna storkoste seg og Mlini er en relativt fredlig liten landsby. Et begrenset antall restauranter, og for barn vil nok Pizzeria Mlini være det mest populære. Vi kan absolutt anbefale stedet både til de med og uten barn.

Er en barnefamile med 3 barn som leide en egen Villa. Plassen passet da utmerket. Lite biltrafikk, flott basseng med eget barnebasseng, helt ved stranden, masse lekeplasser og greie restauranter i området. Båter gikk kontinuerlig til Dubrovnik og Cavtat ++ så slipper å ta taxi. Viss en skal nevne noe negativt så kan det nevnes at avstand til nærmeste butikk er 3km. Litt langt viss en skal bære mye varer, men en veldig fin gåtur der en går utenom bilveier. Inne basseng, garderober, spa avdeling trenger en oppdatering. Her var det ikke kjekt å dusje. Vi vet ikke om vi vil anbefale opphold på Hotellet eller leiligheter da det virket å være slitt. Dersom en ser etter hotell virker Hotel Mlini som et mye bedre alternativ. Gjestene på dette hotellet har også tilgang til basseng etc.

Vi hadde en kjempe fin uke på Villas Mlini. Vi hadde flott utsikt fra leiligheten. Personalet var hyggelig og hjelpsom. Spesiellt vil jeg trekke frem aktivitørene som hadde vann aerobic og annen trening, samt aktiviteter for barna om dagen og barnedisko om kvelden.

Great stay, annoying music
One week stay, couple with boy (7yo). Great service with pick up at airport (€19), check in and at departure. Excellent appartment. Clean and spaciousand, with good wifi. Some cutlery missing..., and we would have liked a water boiler (for tea) in the appartment. Nice surroundings and facilities, especially the pool area and beach resultant. But, we found the music (playing non stop by the pool) and some dinner music/concerts at the beach restaurant a bit annoying late in the evening.

Greie villa-leiligheter rett ved vannet. Litt trangt med fire i leiligheten. Fint basseng, men kamp om solsengene. Vi bestilte transport fra og til flyplassen og betalte 175 HRK for dette. Det var det absolutt verdt. Lite butikker og lite utvalg av spisesteder i området. Ikke helt rent på rommet. Fantastisk utsikt.

Veldig bra standard. Roomservice hver dag. Savnet Wifi i leiligheten og stoler på balkongene. Det som trekker ned er den VELDIG høye musikken fra strandbaren - helt til midnatt hver eneste kveld. Hvis man vil ha ro om kveldene utendørs anbefales dette leilighetshotellet IKKE.

Fantastisk lokalisering men mangler service
Hotellet ligget Ca 12 min med taxi fra gamlebyen, mellom flyplass og Dubrovnik. Villaene er helt nye og ligger fantastisk til, ca 10 m fra havet. Bra bassenganlegg ved siden av en fin strand ga muligheter for alle. Dessverre var serviseopplevelsen under forventning og helhetsinntrykket ble således redusert. Med mer "passion" fra hotellets ansatte kunne dette blitt en meget hyggelig hotellopplevelse. For 2 dagers Dubrovnik-besøk var Villa Mlini helt ok for en familie på 2 voksne og to barn på 10 og 12 år.

Very nice and modern facility
Excellent appartment centre close to Mlini beach. We went there early july 2013, when only parts of the facility had opened and the remaining parys were about to be completed. Modernistic style art. Access to all facilities at Astarea Hotel, including a wonderful newly refurnished pool area. Mlini is a nice little village, but the restaurants were a bit dissapointing. All in all a very nice stay and it is easy to recommend this place to other families.

The property did not update on the check-in process, so this was a problem when giving directions to the taxi driver. The unit we had, however, was functional and clean, with a gorgeous view. The property itself is beautiful!

Gorgeous Place
The resort is in a beautiful village, Mlini. Our apartment was immaculately clean and we had housekeeping every morning. Somehow they always managed to clean our apartment while we were out for breakfast. The buffet breakfast was lovely with lots of choices. The resort is in a perfect position halfway between the airport and Dubrovnik old town. The fact that we are planning an other holiday to this beautiful place is proof of our recommendation! We had a Great stay in the villa. Only downside in this summer paradise was the sofabed, which was not very comfortable and the morning fights for pool chairs in spite of it clearly being against pool rules. I recommend staff is assigned to put a stop to the reservation by people not using the pool for hours. Transfer to airport arranged by the hotel was punctual and great, but without kids chairs.

Pleasant stay on a beautiful beach
We really enjoyed our time here. The villas look nice and are in good condition. We liked the little touches like a fruit bowl with apples, because we arrived late at night and were hungry. We also liked the kitchenette with dishes, and the provided beach towels. The staff was friendly, the location on the beach was great (with an easy drive to Old Town Dubrovnik), and the beds were comfortable. We didn't realize that the reception is located at Hotel Astarea. At least, I didn't see that anywhere in the fine print on Hotels.com. We drove around for a while trying to find Villas and Apartments Mlini, but the navigation takes you to Hotel Astarea. Finally, I had to call to get help, and it turned out that is where the parking and reception are located.

Confirmation gave address of check-in which was the actual property and should have given the name of the hotel. Taxi driver delivered us to the given address but once we were given the name of the check-in hotel, it put us in the correct spot. Wifi in building furthest out on the cliff was not consistent and you could only receive it when you were in the bedroom.

Locatie is fantastisch, allen als je naar stad moet kan met Taxi of met bus die moet je met lopen berijken en weg gaat omhoog en met slechte benden is niet fijn.

Første gang i Kroatien
Første gang i Kroatien og meget positivt overrasket - både over stedets muligheder og også den venlige modtagelse på stedet af personale og servicefolk. Nemt og hurtigt til Dubrovnik enten med båd eller taxe. Bus prøvede vi, men det er lidt "slow fox" så det blev til den ene tur. :-). Og kysten ligner faktisk Amalfi i Italien. Vi har af sted første uge i oktober, og der var stadig mange muligheder for sightseeing og oplevelser.

Points positifs : l’emplacement, la verdure, la plage, la situation de l’hôtel, le bistro Oleander. Points négatifs : l’accueil à la réception (mise à part une réceptionniste dont j’ai oublié le nom qui nous a permis de changer de chambre), la propreté des chambres (villa Mlini: kitchenette qui sent mauvais même en ayant changé de chambre, toiles d’araignées un peu partout dans la chambre, nettoyage très très sommaire même fait presque tous les jours), restaurant de l’hôtel Astarea (petit déjeuner buffet et dîner buffet très décevant). Très décevant pour le prix de la nuitée.

Très bel endroit. La villa vue mer était au top. Le restaurant très sympa et plusieurs restaurants agréables dans la région. Accès en bus et en bateau à Dubrovnik et Cavtat. Bémol, la piscine est beaucoup trop petite en rapport avec le nombre d'hébergements, nous y sommes allés 1 fois sur 1 semaine, trop de monde. Supermarchés très petits, peu de choix et nécessite une bonne marche (sous 32 degrés, ce n'est pas toujours agréable). Passage dans les chambres tous les jours mais nettoyage très restreint et malheureusement rien à disposition pour le faire soi-même. A part les remarques ci-dessous, c'est un très bel endroit, nous le recommandons.

Fint hotell med bra läge.
Fina villor med mycket bra läge, vi tog en premium där utsikten var fantastisk. Många av villorna hade skymd utsikt. Bra område, härlig strandpromenad med mycket bra restauranger. Stranden vid hotellet var inte så fin. Inomhuspoolen och en av restaurangerna var stängda när vi var där. I övrigt var allt bra. Dubrovnik låg en kort bilresa bort, fantastisk stad.
