We are Diamond IHG members and stay at a lot of 4-5⭐️ hotels. For the price of the room it was so crammed very disappointing especially seeing we paid for an upgraded king suite. Beautiful bathroom…..watch your toes…..in order to get to the sink you must watch you don’t catch your foot on the door that opens on to the vanity very dangerous Front desk staff was not overly friendly upon check in…… just matter of fact like. Yet later in the evening and this morning staff was very hospitable. Dining room staff were amazing very good breakfast

Overall a very good hotel. But the first morning the fire alarm went off at 655am. No fire. Same morning no hot water.

Lovely hotel just 10 minutes walk from the centre of York. Situated in a student area but it is quiet and there's lots of lovely cafes and restaurants only a few minutes away. Hotel was stunning, modern and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and we'd definitely stay again. Breakfast was amazing.

everything was excellent except the car park which is inadequate, poorly maintained and over priced. was shocked to be charged £15 per day (hadnt been charged on previous visit about 4 years ago) and to find that carpark remained in a poor state of repair with spaces that are too small and multiple pot holes.

Lovely hotel, so close to centre but also peaceful. The road it is on leaks straight to the centre with lots of restaurants and cafes along it. Hotel room was great, we stayed in a club style room.

Arrived early and was allocated a room which was great. Staff are amazing and room was lovely. Breakfast not up to the "best breakfast in the uk" award. Scrambled eggs weird and strange flavour and texture. Not enough choice of meals if you dont want to walk into town after walking around for hours all day. It certainly is not 20 min walk from station unless your a young fit person! At least 30 mins walk from station.

Really nice hotel Super friendly staff Room nice but I feel after stopping in other hotels in York, it's a little overpriced in comparison to other comparable hotels. Also feel after paying £185 including breakfast to then have to pay £15 for hotel parking is a little unfair.
