«We were the only guests in this sprawling property within the buffer zone of the Yala National park. The BBQ dinner under the stars was worth remembering. The whole property kept the entire electric generation system running for only 2 guests. The air conditioning was perfect and the view from above the canopy was very good. Mention must be made of Patisa and his team. The chef was wonderful with his breakfast and dinner. A great stay. Never felt unsafe as were the only guest on the day.»

«We enjoyed our stay. When we arrived we were told it was not possible to stay because we only had one room booked, when I showed printouts of our booking with two rooms they found a second tent at the far side of the site for the first night and moved us next to each other for the second night. Thankfully our sons are adults so it didn’t really matter. The pool was closed for maintenance which was a shame! The bbq dinners were excellent, everyone sat around the campfire at tables. The tents were ...

«We knew this would be an adventure in the jungle without normal comforts but this was really disappointing. The tent were generally quite dirty but the main problem is the only toilet on the whole site is in your own tent and out tent smelt of sewage so badly we left after one night as we could not stand another night there. There were also a million insects including a giant millipede as the zips do not completely seal off tent. Then the bar was not operating as their licence has expired. The ...

Yala Safari Camping

Yala Safari Camping

10/10 Utmerket
"We had an absolutely amazing experience with Yala Safari Camping! We originally booked a full-day safari but ended up adding an afternoon safari on arrival day. Both were fantastic, and we were lucky enough to see leopards on both days! We saw so much wildlife and truly experienced the beauty of Yala National Park. A special thank you to our incredible driver, Ajith. He was extremely knowledgeable and skilled, with an amazing eye for spotting wildlife. He answered all our questions and made us feel safe and well taken care of throughout both safaris. The food was another highlight — honestly, the best food we ate during our entire three-week trip in Sri Lanka! Everything was fresh, delicious and beautifully prepared. A big thank you to our chef, Promod! The camp itself was beautiful, peaceful and charming. Our tent was near a waterhole, so we even got to see wildlife in the mornings. Overall, Yala Safari Camping gave us an unforgettable combination of wildlife, nature, incredible food and genuine Sri Lankan hospitality. Thank you to Ravi and the entire team for an amazing stay and unforgettable memories. We highly recommend you and would absolutely choose you again!"
