Check in was just okay, but we could not get in to our room until after thier posted time. They told us we were premium guests because of we booked with Expedia, but we were not informed by Expedia that we would be checked in as a premium guests. So we had No long pants nor dress shoes and could not enjoy the restaurants. Very disappointed. Later we got a wake up call in the middle of the night, which we didn't request and then we were locked out of our room that same afternoon. Housekeeping let us in, but when we called Barcelo premium guest serices, they said that they had a mix up with our departure date, but did not apologize, and made us walk to the front of the property to get new keycards. Hardy premium! Room attendants continued to forget items in the room like coffee, and the waiters in the beach restaurants were not good. We often waited for them to come to us and when we made simple requests, like wine, we never got it and they never came back. They need to seriously work on customer service in the area. So, I would like to know what Expedia means by "premium" and why we were not informed.
