Lovely quiet and secluded location, we have been there three times now. Some attention to minor repairs needed, cabinet drawer knobs loose and falling falling off at times.

Excellent stay
Fantastic overnight break. Lovely room, friendly and helpful staff, and excellent food. Couldn’t ask for more. Looking forward to planning another stay.

An amazing stay in beautiful countryside.
Fantastic hotel and the staff were very polite and professional. Stayed in the Lodge and had a beautiful room, the bathroom was a little tired but still an amazing spacious room. We walked around the grounds and it was a 2 minute walk to the town centre. A beautiful hotel in beautiful countryside. Will definitely stay again.

Great hotel!
2nd stay here and really like it. Lovely house, well maintained and comfortable. Friendly staff, good breakfast and very well situated for exploring Woodhall Spa.

It was good, but wasn't blown away
I had to queue for check in as someone on the phone was taking an age to book a trip about 3 years in advance. I had room 7 in the annex, which was nice and big. Furniture a bit dated but comfortable room. Cheap old ginger nuts supplied with the tea and coffee which wasn't a hit (Border biscuits should now be compulsory which all over night stays). Bathroom was large and shower was powerful and hot. Most annoying thing was the inner door in the hallways swinging like a baseball bat every 10 minutes. It was very loud from room 7. If people were more considerate the you wouldn't hear it as much. But trying to unlock the door with a suitcase in hand isn't always easy... Breakfast was quite nice, a little salty for my taste, but good quality ingredients and a little table with some other bits and pieces. Very good filter coffee! I would definitely come back, but from the really high reviews there's a few little things I was expecting more, especially at over £120 a night.

Lovely hotel
We went for a wedding evening do with other family members . Our room was in the hotel and theirs in the Lodge . The rooms in the Lodge seemed new and more modern as if they’d been recently decorated. Our room was very dated . Saying that it was clean and very spacious. If booked again I’d ask to stay in the Lodge . The lady on reception wasn’t the warmest of characters and some of the bar staff seemed a bit fed up . The buffet was nice which we were served in the evening . There was a very nice , friendly young lad working behind the bar who was very chatty and a credit to the hotel . The breakfast was good . The hotel itself was beautiful and lovely gardens with a nice outdoor seating area and the rooms looked lovely for a wedding setting . Overall we really enjoyed our stay . A nice short walk into Woodall Spa too .

Staff were very friendly & professional @ all times. Our room was of a generous size as was the bed & it was pleasantly warm all of the time. Had nice external views from both sides of the room. Both breakfast & dinner had generous portions that were tasty & hot. Staff were attentive & everything went like clockwork.

One night stay, we have 2 special needs children and staff were fantastic at helping us get the right room for their needs pre visit. Room was nice, some of the bathroom not fully clean but 8/10. Major disappointment was breakfast, service didn’t start until 8am on weekend which isn’t great when it’s on the doorstep of UK’s leading golf course. Was seated then asked if wanted coffee, declined and told help yourself to juice..left for 15 mins while other people that came in after me were served. Toast never offered, food below average. no staff in the room asking if ok or needed anything, all a bit awkward. Detracted from a lovely hotel and comfortable stay, would still recommend but need to up their game in this area.

Had a one night stay after a day with family. Room was huge seating area with TV . Before you entered the bedroom the bed was huge,lots of storage.bathroom was huge and bath and separate shower. Had views out onto the garden.had drinks in the bar staff were friendly,good local beers.nice log fire and comfortable seats.breakfast was lovely fast service and lots of choices.lots of parking.

Mid size hotel set in a lovely quiet spot, 5 minutes walk from the village. Rooms were lovely, one bathroom had some niggly maintenance issues but staff promised to sort as soon as we’d gone. No idea of their eco measures! Would recommend.

One night Dinner B&B
The hotel was very good and the deal including a Dinner B&B was very good value for money. We will stay again if in the area and will certainly recommend it to friends
