Situated on the mountain ridge at Mission Beach overlooking the Coral Sea to Dunk Island, Bedarra Island and the Family Group of islands, your stress and worries will be swept away as you take in the magnificent 180 degree views upon entering the property. Stu’s Lookout offers total privacy – surrounded by stunning tropical gardens and bordered by World Heritage Rainforest - the only neighbours you will see will be the resident Cassowaries. Situated over 2 levels, Stu’s Lookout offers a sense of luxury and salute to the life nautical, yet a feeling of total relaxation. Ideal for just a couple wishing to escape or if a family or group are travelling together there is room for you all. On the upper level open all the windows and doors and feel the outside come in. The kitchen would make any Chef envious so well equipped and for those that find cooking a way to relax when on holidays you would not wish for anything. Adjacent to the kitchen is a TV area and elegant dining nook. The table and benches are made from timber felled from the property. Open the doors next to the office area and you will feel as if you have been transported to another part of the world. This is the rainforest entertaining area. The comfy lounge is the ideal spot to laze and read, sit and ponder as you gaze out to the view or a great spot for a group of friends to enjoy as you have your pre-dinner drinks. Dining in the rainforest is an amazing experience – for those days or nights that are a little wet, drop the clear blinds and still enjoy the view and sounds of the rainforest. There is also another quiet nook off the kitchen for you to laze on a lounge. Downstairs is the sleeping area plus another indoor – outdoor sitting area. Each of the 4 bedrooms opens up to the downstairs balcony so you can step outside and see all that the Cassowary Coast has to offer from your doorstep. The air-conditioned main bedroom offers a fabulous ensuite with outdoor shower. Imagine showering in the rainforest. That is how you will feel. There are another 3 air-conditioned queen bedrooms. The bathroom for the 2nd bedroom also offers a rainforest experience. The 3rd and 4th bedroom share a bathroom with a soaking spa tub. The amazing wet edge lap pool is accessed from the lower level, designed perfectly to feel as if it is just another room of the house. Walk a little further and there is another outdoor sitting area – the perfect spot to lounge by the pool and devour a novel. If you are inclined to leave Stu’s Lookout it is ideally situated to explore the stunning Cassowary Coast, only 5 minutes drive and you will be on the golden sands of Mission Beach or the quaint shopping and dining village of Mission Beach or if you go in the opposite direction, Woolworths Supermarket and the shops and restaurants of Wongaling Beach are also only minutes drive away and South Mission Beach is just 5 minutes drive away. Or do you just remain a holiday recluse in your tropical hideaway. The access to Stu's Lookout has a very steep, winding driveway that may only be suitable for All Wheel Drive cars or 4 wheel drives. Stu’s Lookout is waiting for you….. come and enjoy the experience………. Once your booking is confirmed we will send an email to your private email address giving you directions and access information for the property. You will go directly to the property. There is a key safe located there for you to collect the keys. We will give the key safe location and access code in your confirmation email. Please check your junk folder if you can’t find the email. Wongaling Beach is considered by locals to be the central hub of the Mission Beach area. It offers a large range of the exclusive and sought after absolute beachfront accommodation on Reid Road and Koda Street. Beachfront properties are also available on Banfield Parade being across the road from the beach. The small shopping village at Wongaling Beach (easy to identify thanks to the Big Cassowary sculpture) has a gym, cafe and hair salon. There is a drive in bottle shop at Mission Beach Resort. Adjacent to this complex is Woolworths which has the Bendigo Bank a smaller Bottle shop, pharmacy and cafe. The supermarket is closed on Sundays. You can also find the service station – open 7 days - at Woolworths complex. Bindgo and Westpac ATM’s are situated within Woolworths. Dining out in Wongaling Beach – Mission Beach Resort offers bistro style dining, Spicy Thai Hut offers fab Thai food and there is the Italian, Cafe Rustica. Wongaling also offers a great kids playground, skate park, basketball half court and 'Splash'N'Dunk' water play park, this is all situated in the beachfront parkland at Rotary Park. Just a short 5-10 minute drive will take you to the village centre of Mission Beach with a great range of café’s bars and specialty shops. The Mini Mart and Leny’s fruit and vegetable store are open on Sundays when Woolworths is closed. The first and third Sunday of each month there a markets in the Ulysses park at Mission Beach. The Mission Beach Monster Markets are held on the last Sunday of each month from Easter Sunday until November. These are located at Ulysses park at Mission Beach. It is recommended to have a car when staying at Wongaling Beach. Another option available is hiring a push bike. This is a great way to get out and about Mission Beach. Riding along the beach is a real treat.
