The cottage is conveniently near Winderemere and Bowness-on-Winderemere. We arrived using public transport and the cottage is 9-11 mins walk uphill from the bus stop which is okay when you don't have to pull the luggage (not against the property).The area is quite (there's a garage if you have a car). It is also very spacious for 5 of us (3 adults,2 kids). The kitchen is well equipped to make a home cooked meal,washing machine,fridge/freezer and dishwasher. It has an open plan dining and living area. The only negative is I did find one dirty towel (stain)on arrival day which I have no problem washing it. The cottage is so cozy after a long day exploring the Lakes. The bed is so comfortable and the garden at the front is so nice.

Location was brilliant for both Bo'ness and Windermere towns.Property was very basic. Kitchen cupboards and shelves were dusty. Dishes were dirty and needed to be washed before they could be used. There were very few dishes to use and some of them were chipped so not very hygienic.Unable to work out how to get the water hot in the shower. Shower partition was mouldy.Definitely not worth the money paid.
