«It is very short walk to the lake and very convenient if you want quiet but central. Very well looked after and good price. »

«We stayed at the cottage house which is outside the main building. It was very spacious and has an indoor jacuzzi tub which is why we booked it. The hot water is pre-heated, so it was just enough to fill the tub. There won’t be hot water after if you wanted a shower. Also, an important downside for us was the wifi signal is so weak that neither our phone nor laptops could pick any signal. Was a bit disappointed in that regard as the hotel is aware of the problem but made no effort to fix it. ...

«We were very pleasantly surprised on arriving at the Boutique Hotel. We were warmly greeted with a glass of Prosecco. Our suite was so much better than we had expected. In addition to the bedroom there was a room with a table for meals, a bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and a Sauna. Our suite did not have a 'hot tub', which the other suites had, but that did not concern us.The Breakfast menu was excellent and food was cooked to order. «Have to say one of the best, if not THE best places i've ever stayed. Clean, plenty of room for my son and we had everything we needed for our weekend away. House keeping was amazing, always came back to our room clean and fresh again. Definitely the quietest hotel we've ever had. Just perfect and what we needed for our weekend away. Will absolutely book this hotel again, thank you for having us. »

«We had an amazing stay at Ivythwaite Lodge, it was immaculately clean, service was spot on as was breakfast. There was also some lovely little touches with home made cake on arrival and home made muffins to take away with you after breakfast. It was also very reasonably priced compared to other similar establishments close by. We would certainly stay here again if we visit the lakes in the future. »

«Nice apartment for my wife and I to spend a couple of nights with our 1 year old daughter. There was plenty of room in the bedroom for the travel cot we brought with us, and they provided a high chair on arrival. The apartment was also dog friendly so our little pooch was able enjoy the trip with us (at a cost of £25 per night). «What more could you ask for than a property where the supermarket (and many eateries) are around the corner and the bus stop is opposite the front door. Rayrigg is perfectly located, with a bus every 20 mins to take you to the railway station (about a 10 minute walk) or to other towns in the District. Just note, if you are challenged by directions, Lake Windermere is in an area called Bowness, and about a 45 minute walk to Ellerthwaite Square. I had the top room, so plenty of stairs to climb, ...
