I never even stayed here. I had booked a trip on 4/24-4/26 for a funeral of a dear friend. I wasn’t aware there were two holiday inns in the same town. My plane landed at 10:30 pm and I arrived at the other holiday inn at 11:00pm.
When I arrived they did not have a reservation for me. I called the holiday inn, university and they said there is nothing they can do, as I booked through Expedia.
I had to book a weekend stay at the hotel I was, as I did not have transportation. They gave me the number for Expedia that I called once I was checked in. I called around 11:30-12:00 to file a claim with Expedia. They advised me it would take 72 hours or so to have a response.
Imagine my surprise that my claim is not being honored. I purposefully purchased cancellation insurance, in case something happened. I wonder why I wasted my money when it cannot be used. This ended up not only being sad for the loss of my friend, but I also lost money I really could not afford to lose.
I will never use Expedia nor will I ever use a holiday inn again. I remember a world that used to care about customer service. I’m guessing that you don’t belong to that world.
