This beachfront home in Little Exuma has a truly pretty location with direct access to a private beach and the standout always-calm lazy river sandbar. The protected waters were perfect for relaxed floating, family play, and kayaking, and the overall area is very quiet. There are also large beaches nearby for variety, like a short drive to Tropic of Cancer Beach. The house offers good-sized rooms, the AC worked very well throughout (a huge win in the heat), and there were lots of games available, which kept things fun during downtime or evenings. The private pool was a nice option too, and the modern kitchen and strong Starlink WiFi (in the main areas) were appreciated. On the flip side, it didn't feel like the "new luxury" the listing promises—it's a nice house but showing wear and tear. Issues included:Several kayaks but only one paddle that wasn't brokenOne casita shower that wouldn't get hotAll lounge chairs broken Missing grill toolsCould use more pots and pans for a large groupVery remote location with a rough road leading up (sturdy rental car essential)Conflicting check-out info: listing says 11 AM, but someone arrived at 10 AM insisting we vacate in 10 minutes, which rushed our departureThe calm-water setting and quiet atmosphere made it a solid family getaway despite the maintenance gaps. If you prioritize natural beauty, tranquility, and room for games over polished luxury, it's worth it—just go in with realistic expectations.
