«Hosts were great, helpful and responsive. The Home is amazingly historic and so certainly has its limits, but it should not mean it cannot be warm and comfortable with decor and furnishings. There is no HVAC upstairs so space heaters were fussy to maintain and keep on with timers, etc. There is only two lamps in the home, so all rooms rely on ceiling fan lights - which are effective but do not allow a more relaxed evening or early morning atmosphere. «This home was perfect for our short stay in St. Louis. The space was adequate for a small dinner with friends and provided plenty of space for us to socialize, play games, and relax. The rooms, kitchen and bathroom were clean and spacious. The host responded timely and answered all of our questions. The floors were a little questionable as far as cleanliness goes but did not take away from us being able to enjoy ourselves. We will definitely book again when in the area. »

«It’s an older house, so you are dealing with creaky floors and such, which is ok. The floors were really dirty/sticky so we had to clean. There were also virtually no pots/pans that weren’t old/rusted/flaking. The owner was apologetic, reimbursed us for our time cleaning and pots/pans we had to buy. It needs a better selection of cooking things, so hopefully that gets adddress so families can stay there. »
