A reasonably priced guest house which is very convenient for the beach walk and the town centre. Very good choices at breakfast. Parking is, maybe inevitably, a trial!

It's just at the very busy times of the year or event weekends that it may be a little busier but we're always on hand to help with that should you need us (we're always happy to move our own car to open up a space!).Thanks once againEmma

Very poor and unclean
The positives ….. bed was clean bath was clean. Negatives ….. overall very unclean. Public toilet out of order. Staff unhelpful and rude. We were told breakfast was 9am - 10am arrived at 9:10 am to be told breakfast was finished. When we explained what we had been told at check in the response was “ in the twelve years we have had this hotel we have never said that !!!” They then said they may be able to rustle us something up ….. it was terrible. Very poor food. Staff banging stuff down on the table obviously unhappy with us. Coffee was undrinkable. Very dirty breakfast room. Overall our experience was not good. Would definitely not return.

Facilities not up to a good standard. Cleanliness poor. Shower cubicle unclean with mould and limescale. Sink not secure and matress like a beanbag. Staff brilliant and breakfast nice.Dining area floor not cleaned as fluff and dust in dame place for 2 days

Very handy for town, my room looked out to see.Friendly staff and excellent breakfast,good choice. Parking was ok,it's disk zone but you can buy permit from them,my four days cost £2 for full stay. Would definitely go again

Fantastic stay!
Such a lovely place, would recommend it very highly. Room was lovely and clean with a spectacular sea view. Breakfast was gorgeous too! We got a parking permit for £2 from the owner, so parking was sorted for the whole of our stay. Will definitely be back. Whitby is an amazing place and here is duch a fantastic location.

The premises was well located and easily accessed. The quality of the rooms was average. The electric shower in our room (9) did not work properly. The book in the room said breakfast was 8 - 9.30 at weekends but when we went down for breakfast at 9.20 we were rather abruptly told we were too late and would have to have continental. At the very least the information in the book should be updated. We were not the only ones caught out by this. All in all organisation was a little shoddy. An hour for breakfast at weekends is not enough.

Eine wunderbare Unterkunft. Die Inhaber kümmern sich so sehr um ihre Gäste, dass man sich gleich zu Hause fühlt. Die Zimmer und der Rest des Hauses sind liebevoll individuell eingerichtet und sehr komfortabel. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und die Auswahl ist super. Klare Empfehlung!

Stay March 6th 2023 (2 night stay)
Great location across from the beach with sea view. Near to the town. A very clean and comfortable stay. Owners were there if needed, but never intrusive. Staff friendly. We can recommend the Garden Room restaurant at Sneaton Castle and the Trenchers Fish restaurant in Whitby. Both served very good food.

Overall stay was amazing, expectations exceeded. Despite the many Guest Houses, Riviera far proclaims the rest! Highly recommend people consider staying here. Close range to the beach and harbour, your feet get plenty of exercise. 25,700 steps on our first day there.

Amazing location
Fabulous location. Huge amount to see and do. Disappointed with the bedroom view and bathroom. Bath panel broken in three places. Lino had tears in it. Lots of stairs worth asking which floor you will be on especially if you have mobility problems. Hosts friendly.
