«Overall was great, only downside was my room was on top of the restaurant which caused some noise, also the pillows in the room wasn’t great but everything else was fantastic. »

«Hyggelig hotell/pub/restaurant med rolig beliggenhet. Kompakt resepsjon. Noen lave bjelker, og trange ganger. Greie rom med middels komfort. OK bad. Meget bra frokost. Bra parkeringsplass. God service i pub og restaurant, god mat og bra utvalg. Dårlig wifi, og ingen dekning på mobilnett.»

«Stayed in a room ready for re-decorating due to water damage, hence peeling paint on outside wall. Good service, nice breakfast allthough my husband proved somewhat of a challenge to the staff but they still smiled :-) Great location right in the center if town, no notable night noice kept us awake despite open window towards the street. «The bathroom was clean, as was the bedroom, except carpet was very worn & not so clean looking. We had twin beds, which were comfortable. We ate dinner at the pub that evening & the food & service were both good! The included, cooked to order breakfast was very tasty. All the staff were helpful!»

«The hotel was very well presented in a scruffy and disappointing town. The quality of the catering at the hotel was exceptional. Some of the best food I’ve eaten in an hotel in a very long time. The menu was imaginative with some nice detail and the delivery exceeded expectations. The town wouldn’t attract me back but I would be prepared to travel some distance to sample the food again.»

«I was very happy with my room! It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Unfortunately the walls are very thin and l could hear the people next door talking as if they were in the same room, so even though the bed/bedding was very clean and comfortable l did not get any sleep, l could even hear a conversation someone was having on a phone. The property is advertised as a B&B but they do not do breakfasts. I would definitely stay again if the price was reduced slightly to accommodate not ...

«We had a lovely weekend stay at this country pub with rooms. The owners are lovely and very friendly and welcoming. Its a dog friendly place, so for us, that was perfect. Our room (room 2) was on the ground floor and had a door leading out to the garden, great if you have a dog. The room was a good size and very comfortable, with tea and coffee making facilities, tv and a hairdryer. The king sized bed was good and the bathroom was lovely. We ate dinner and breakfast here both days and the food ...

«Very friendly staff in popular and welcoming village local. We only stayed one night and didn't eat here though the menu looked great. Obviously popular with locals and tourists alike for a small village it was busy on the Saturday night we stayed. Room was clean and comfortable though dated. The bed was a bit older than some but perfectly pleasant. The surrounding area is stunning with plenty to do within a short drive and lots of walking on your doorstep. Overall a most enjoyable stay. »

«We used this cute little cottage as a stop off on the way to Scotland. Loved the views from the garden and having breakfast on the terrace while watching the sheep with their lambs. Close enough to Keswick for amenities but far enough away to be very peaceful and quiet.»

«What a beautiful location for a lodge! The lodge itself was well presented and clean with everything you would need, but by far the best things are the views and the peace. You are only 15mins away from Keswick. We will definitely be back.»
