Staying at Vida was like staying at someone’s gorgeous vacation home. It is small enough that all the staff know you and the culture is to go out of their way to be courteous and helpful. The front desk staff helped us select dinner places, snorkeling places and even provided a beach blanket and snorkel gear. The restaurant has some of the best quality and value on the island- we felt like we were in someone’s kitchen. The yoga instructor was excellent. The room was large and immaculate- the housekeeper arranged our toiletries and coordinated with the front desk when we were eating so they never interrupted our schedule. Our only gripe is the beach isn’t very swimmable because it’s quite rocky and the waves are big- but it is a beautiful walk and you can see the kite surfers. The rooster does start making noise in the morning but we were able to get back to sleep and accept that roosters are a part of the Grand Cayman experience. We loved our stay at VIDA!
