«The staff was super pleasant and kind - especially the front desk staff. I guess my biggest gripe is that the pool area isn't very inviting. It's not well lit at night and just generally felt like it needed tlc. The restaurant doesn't have much of a vibe and the food is bland but fine. The coffee sucks but it is what you expect at a hotel. «The hotel was mixed: when we arrived, the reception was behind a locked door. We had no idea where to go. Once we found reception, they were nice and helpful. It was clean, the ac worked just fine. You had to cross a major highway to get to the beach. There was a note in the room disclaiming liability for theft, death, injury. «I stayed two nights here, my first room didn't have hot water for showers and the second room's thermostat battery was low and the air conditioning wasn't working properly as a result. Plus check out is super early at 10 am for some reason, and their policy is to charge you $25 to extend it to 11am. «I had a an extremely pleasant stay at One Canal Point. The advertisement and pictures are spot on. Everything was clean, and well appointed. The host was responsive to communications and efficient.
