«Strikingly looking hotel. Unfortunately on entering reception, we were greeted with a dirty carpet, which carries on into the bar area with lots of stains. Our room was up 2 flights of stairs, which I wasn't aware of when I booked. Therefore, in this heatwave, the room was an oven. There was a desk fan - 'thank goodness'. Pleased with the room, the layout and amenities. Curtains need seeing to, useless and need blackouts! All the staff were pleasant and hard working. Did not expect a buffet ...

«We had a good stay at the Sloop Inn. Lovely friendly staff. The best breakfast. The property is a little dated, and the bed isn't the most comfortable, but it was all good for a one-night stay. Would recommend.»

«The Royal George is a lovely pub and Inn. The food is fantastic and all staff could not have been more attentive and helpful. We had an upstairs room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. Our room was very nicely appointed, spacious and quiet. Free parking was plentiful on the property (front and back lots). There is a small grocery store a ross the street. It is a beautiful area to walk around and a great base for exploring surrounding towns and attractions.»

«Lovely accommodation, clean, modern, pretty and spacious garden, safe off road parking. 3 very comfy bedrooms, nice living room with dining table. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher as well as utility room with washing machine. The road is a bit noisy with very fast traveling, but we soon got used to this. It wouldn't put us off staying here again. The location of cottage is close to many lovely attractions including Forest of Dean, Clearwell Caves and Puzzle Wood.»
