When we booked through Expedia via Blue Light Card, we booked it because the cost INCLUDED breakfast.q This seems to be not the case, if booked via Expedia & others. I challenged this, showing a photo of my booking, where it clearly said including breakfast. We did get our breakfast free of charge, but some others didn't.

loved my one night stay at the George Inn and wished it could have been longer. The George has the atmosphere of an ancient, old world public house with all the modern amenities a traveller would need. The hosts Peter and Veryan have succeeded in making the George a very pleasant place to stay. Their hospitality was warm and friendly, happy to spend time with their guests and adding a real sense of community to the George Inn which was so good to share.

Our stay at the George was great, Peter and Veryann are wonderful hosts and really looked after us, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was comfortable especially the bed, and the pub has such a good community atmosphere and everyone was very welcoming. The pub had just received an award and we could see why, well done to everyone for their hard work. We would recommend a visit and hope to return.

We received a very warm welcome from both the owners and the staff. Room was clean and compact. Evening meal and breakfast were delicious. Ideal location between Shepton Mallet and Wells. Would stay again, and recommend to friends and family.

Great stay at The George
Lovely stay at The George this weekend, Peter and the team were providing a great service through your the weekend. My dog loved it too and enjoyed meeting Pixie. On our next visit we will be delighted to join Peter on his Saturday morning road ride before lunch 👌

Lovely dog friendly pub with friendly staff. excellent food and quick service. room was lovely and clean and good wifi, only problem i had was the smoking shelter was under my window, so on a very hot day i had to shut the window to prevent the smell coming in. luckily there was a fan in the room which helped. Other problem is the address says it's in Well's but it's 7 minute drive past Wells, i struggled to find it as phone reception in the area is poor. but it's in a lovely quiet village with good dog walks.
