Amazing House On The Beach!!

Nestled along the Monterey Bay is one of the most scenic stretches of California's central coastline. Spanning 1 1/2 miles of pristine beach, the house is in a secluded, gated community with a collection of beautiful beachfront homes.

Perfect family vacation, Pajaro Dunes is located 4 miles West of Watsonville, and 20 miles South of Santa Cruz which is home of the Beach Boardwalk and Santa Cruz Mountain Redwoods. 20 minutes to Monterey.

This home was exactly as described - amazing. We spent most of our time sitting outside while we watched a group of dolphins, several sea otters & a whale go by. Just delightful. Our group of 12 all enjoyed the ocean view & proximity to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with an abundance of basic needs (dish soap, paper towels, baggies, etc) as well as plenty of bath towels, lotion and even Q-tips! A large shopping center in nearby Watsonville has everything you need. Our family (ages 11-79) spent a day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium & another at the Santa Cruz boardwalk - something for everyone. Our 5 day stay was enjoyed by all. The host, Uma, replied to my questions promptly & was helpful with the inquiries we had. I highly recommend this home if you enjoy spending time right on the ocean.

Excellent home with brilliant views. Great location and beach on your backyard. Had a wonderful time with family. The house was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying sunsets from the patio made the experience even more memorable. The neighborhood felt peaceful yet conveniently close to shops and restaurants. Communication with the host was smooth and welcoming throughout our stay. We would happily return and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

She was very welcoming and responsive. We wished that there had been a "house book" explaining more. For example, we did not realize that you needed to reserve the Pickleball courts 24 hours in advance.

The deck was amazing as was the view of the ocean. The house was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. Seating in the great room was perfect. The host was responsive to us for whatever small question we had. Kitchen was well stocked. We hope to come back again next year

What a wonderful place to spend our 50th wedding anniversary - on the beach with our kids and grandkids! The house easily accommodated 6 adults and 4 children with a compact but well appointed kitchen, including a very large refrigerator freezer (which held 4 days of food for 10 people easily) and multiple coffee making options. The beach is easy to get to, just one house over for access and the house has beach toys, umbrellas, chairs and beach towels. The weather wasn't great during our visit, but the kids could come and go to the beach and they didn't care about the cold! The dining table was great for 10 people with meals together and for games and puzzles in between. The house seems to be in the process of upgrading and the pictures of furnishings and floorings are a bit different. The bathrooms! Wow! They have been recently redone with large showers and some of the most beautiful marble/stone I've ever seen! To the delight of the kids, who had never used one, all 4 bathrooms included bidets! (well, I must admit, we adults also kept...umm...clean too!). Uma was great to communicate with and recommended a Mexican food caterer in Watsonville, D'la Comena, which we had a feast from one night. I would highly recommend them. We had a delicious and beautiful princess cake from Gayles Bakery in Capitola for our anniversary that was also recommended by Uma. Great memories were made in this full family sized accommodation!

Great location, great subdivision recreation amenities and spacious comfortable home with amazing ocean/beach frontage. 10 members of my family ranging in age from 11 to 88 and everyone had a wonderful time, gathering sea shells, playing pickleball and giant chess and relaxing.

Pajaro Dunes needs a refresh!

Back in the 1970's, Pajaro Dunes was a popular destination for family vacations and corporate retreats. However, current appearances suggest that homeowners have not maintained their properties. We saw boardwalks overgrown with weeds, building exteriors in bad need of paint, and windows so dirty that residents couldn't enjoy the view. The interior of our particular rental was clean and well-equipped but needed new flooring (both carpeting and tile) and refreshed bathrooms. Maintaining and updating seaside homes is expensive, but VRBO renters are used to high-caliber properties. Ours did not meet that expectation.

Making Memories

A beautiful stay with seven female friends. The location of the house and the deck outside is outstanding. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out and the amenities in the kitchen were plenty full. Communication with the owner was timely and attentive. We highly recommend this property!

Dream Vacation

There were ten of us adults that were able to enjoy this beach front home in June. The view is amazing with grand windows to see the view for miles in every direction. The downstairs bedrooms do not include a view but the master bedroom opens up into the Pacific Ocean. The furnishings are cozy. We attended a destination wedding on Pajaro Dunes with 150+ family members coming in from around the country. Many rented condos & houses on site-- our beach house was by far the best & envy of the entire family.

Another Great Stay

This the second time we've stayed at this home and once again we were very happy with the home. The location is unbeatable, sitting on the deck with the ocean just a few feet away is always a treat.

A group of 8 women stayed at this house. I was disappointed as the home looked much more modern and clean on the site. The carpets are needing to be replaced as well as the tile. Dirty carpets and broken tiles on the floor. The walls seemed to be patched. We loved the spot, but hoping the home owner puts some money into the home to update it and make it worth what it cost.

Wonderful family celebration

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Uma’s home on the beach. The location was amazing with wonderful ocean views throughout. It was a perfect place to celebrate a family birthday with our extended family group. We hope to return soon!

Relaxing Get Away

Right on the ocean

The house was nice and clean and available even earlier then check-in time which was great! The views were amazing there was plenty of room and beds for our whole big family. I would note that there is no direct beach access from the house but there is a short path and about 25 stairs down to the water. I only mention this because we had some older family members that have trouble with the stairs. The kitchen had everything we needed except some bbq tools which we picked up at target and left for the next people. All in all it was a great place to stay and would definitely recommend.

Wonderful water and sunset views!

We are a three generation family and this property was perfect. We travel a lot, and have never stayed so directly waterfront. The beach is a wonderful walking and running beach, and great for just watching the ocean - we even saw dolphins and sea lions swimming in front of the house! The house itself is very comfortable. The main floor is as the pictures show - lots of glass to watch the views. Also a large table to eat and play games at. One of the people in our party had a broken foot and this house was far better than others we saw for access - probably around ten steps total to enter the house and once in the house there are two bedrooms on the main floor, so very accessible, if that is a consideration for your party. Lastly, the host is amazing. Very personable and fun to interact with. All questions are answered timely. All seven people in our party agreed that this was the perfect house for us!

Great Memories Made
