Beautiful hotel, smelly rooms
Stinning hotel in the centre of DC. This hotel would have been perfect but we were so unlucky getting a hotel room in the center of the hotel- ill bet its 50 rooms that smell this way. We had a look out over the backside of the hotel, the room was so smelly from the kitckens fryer several times a day. When we left the hotel and finally got out bags in some fresh air they smelled so bad we had to trow away several clothes that smelled so bad and is not washable. This trip was so costy bc of alle the clothes that were ruined- we are def not staying at this hotel next year.

The staff were fantastic (except for the woman at check in who didn't know the hotel had a jacuzzi)! The elevator was very slow, small, and one was broken. The air in the rooms smelled horrible! They knew 4 people would be in the room but only gave us 2 towels. Front desk never answered phone. Sunday brunch started way too early (there was no just breakfast option), was insanely expensive for oatmeal and yogurt, and took an hour to get to us. I hope they get things worked out in hospitality because the brunch situation was very unfortunate. The grounds were lovely and area seemed safe.

The property is beautiful with many self-contained amenities and very attractive outdoor spaces including the pool. The lobby and surrounding areas are huge with many places to sit and lounge. The location is great for walking to many dining options and the metro. The rooms are very spacious with comfortable furniture and bed. The on-site restaurant is very convenient and the food is quite good. The only downside I experienced was that the drains in the bathroom sink and tub were slow. Overall it was a very enjoyable visit to this property and I will definitely come back if my plans bring me back that way again.

While the property and staff are excellent I think a lot of services I’ve come to accept as standard were a separate charge which was surprising considering the price point of the property. Wi-fi not being included was surprising esp considering they had older TV’s which only allowed cromecast over wifi. Don’t bother paying for parking we easily found street parking all weekend right around the corner.

The pictures of the properly are deceiving. The pool was not open are room was small and stuffy. House keeping was slamming the doors at 930am when we had the do not disturb sign up. They only gave us one complimentary drink voucher it was two people on the reservation. Overall it was over hyped and over priced would not recommend or go back.

While we appreciated the historic value of the hotel and even though the common areas are well taken care of, the rooms and the facilities within the room were in dire need of an upgrade and attention. We ended up switching rooms three times. The first one was next to a very loud boiler room and the fume in the hallway was unbearable. The second room smelled so bad that we could not breathe. We think a pet had an accident on the carpet. The last room’s AC was broken but we just ran out of energy to move and thankfully the weather became cooler. I have been to other Omnis and have loved those every time but this experience will make me think twice before I decide based on the brand name and past experience!

This is clearly an old hotel that went through some updating. The lobby is a typical convention hotel entrance. There seemed to be only one elevator working. It took me two days to get the thermostat adjusted, and the air conditioning sounds like a plane taking off. They charge $4.95 per day for wifi which is ridiculous in this date and age. They remove the charge if one becomes a "member" which one then unwillingly does.

This was a wonderful experience for my friend and I. Annett and Qazi in dining were wonderful and VERY welcoming. Crystal at the front desk was amazing, her welcome smiling and how she treated us when we arrived was profound. DEBORAH at the front desk had too much ATTITUDE for our liking when we went to pick up our new keys, she was a BIG turn off. Other than her our overall experience was amazing. Would definitely return and recommend this resort.

The first room they gave me reeked like dirty diapers and stale urine, and the bed didn’t look clean. The pillows were askew, etc. This was on the west side of the building. The button to call the front desk was broken and dialing 0 didn’t work (apparently the number is 12 or 14, go figure?) — so I walked a good distance back to lobby. When I asked to switch, they gave me an “upgrade” which was the same size/kind of room just 2 floors up. They also gave me a 1 free drink ticket. Felt a little cheap, not a real accommodation or show of service. Housekeeping also came and knocked loudly at 730AM! Yikes. On the plus side there was complimentary afternoon lemonade in the lobby, which was pretty good. Overall the hotel looks deteriorated, old, sad, stuffy. It was great 10-15 years ago but hasn’t been kept up well. A friend recommended the woodley inn b&b so perhaps will try that next time in the neighborhood.

Very nice stay! Only thing is the valets were a bit late getting our car but nothing crazy. Remember there is a $100 hold on your stay when you check in. And $55 of it is taken by parking. So not a huge con but take it into consideration
