This cozy English basement apartment has been fully renovated in a mid-century modern style. It`s a cute and colorful space with a fully stocked kitchen, very comfortable queen bedrooms and modern bathroom. It is also just a few minute metro, drive, or uber to all of DC’s main monuments. With popular bars and restaurants just a short walk away, this apartment`s 600 sq. ft. 2-bedroom, 1-bath layout is ideal for a weekend getaway.

PLEASE NOTE: This English basement apartment is a subterranean unit with private front and rear entrance, and there is a fully separate 3 bedroom / 1.5 bathroom unit above. Please check our profile if you`re interested in renting the upstairs unit, or the combined 5 bedroom house. Due to the proximity of units we require quiet hours after 10PM, if you have any issues we are just a message away!

There is access to a shared rear patio behind the home via the rear door.

I give my guests space but am available when needed.
I am here for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is up to you. I`m only a phone call/message away. You will be able to check yourselves in upon arrival with your own key code which works on both the front and rear door lock.

Parking: There is free 2 hour parking in front of the home during the daytime, and at night parking is free from 6:30PM until 9AM the next morning. Weekend guests can park for free on the street from 6:30PM on Friday until 9AM on Monday. For dedicated parking spots with guaranteed availability, we recommend a parking app like SpotHero (also available on the web). It helps you find close parking spaces at discounted prices in garages or surface lots.
House Rules:

• Guests located within a 50-mile radius of Washington, D.C. require pre-approval before booking. Reservation made without pre-approval will be subject to cancellation per guest`s Cancellation Policy.

• Guest must complete pre-arrival ID verification including damage protection selection via our digital guest portal

• No parties, pre-games, or events. Visitors are limited to one to two close friends or family members.

• DC Noise Ordinance: Quiet hours are in effect from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM Monday to Sunday. It`s the law!

• Speakers are prohibited from being used to play loud music at any time, including outdoors.

• Shoes are not permitted inside the house.

• Indoor smoking is prohibited; a fine of $300 per night will be imposed.

• Additional overnight guests beyond the reservation will incur a fee of $30 per person per night.

• Unauthorized late checkouts past 11:00 AM will incur a fee of $100 per extra hour to cover the cost of cleaning delay.

• Any mess left behind that requires a deep cleaning will result in a fee of $200 to cover the cost of additional cleaning.
