«The staff was amazing! The room super cute and convenient, and had everything you want. It was very clean, but the one thing that stressed me out was the mold in the shower. To me it seemed very obvious visually, and the smell was strong. It didn’t feel healthy to stay there, and I hope this isn’t the reason I got sick shortly after the stay. The room seemed to be renovated soon, so I hope this will be fixed. Too bad with such an issue when the rest of the stay was wonderful! I’d love to come ...

«The room was very comfortable, the staff were excellent. We loved the ambience and the food There was nothing we disliked except the proximity of the village church which insisted on striking every quarter hour day and night. It was an unusually warm night in October so we had the window open so I would advise using earplugs if the window is open.»

«Stayed here as an entry point to the South West Coastal path so whilst the town itself only has a pub and a post office, it was perfect for a 1 night stay before starting a long walk. There's also a local bus which goes a few times a day. Big room, very clean and comfortable, great breakfast included. Lovely stay.»

«The hotel is only about a year old so the building and all the fittings and furniture are in as-new condition. The staff were all cheerful and a delight to work with. The food was good both breakfast and the evening meals. The location right on the foreshore is attractive with lovely views of the sunrise but it is well away from the centre of Torquay. When I arrived Google maps had the location 300 metres too close to the main part of Torquay so you need to check this before setting a route.»

There were signs of leaks and bad odors, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, and I found a spider in the room. The pool and breakfast were okay.
