«We arrived around 5:00Pm, for a long weekend the wether was stormy. We struggled to find the place as it is in the middle of nowhere next to a farmhouse. The layout was good with ample space but there’s no shower gels or hand washing soap in bathrooms. Heating stopped working the next day. Tried contacting the Sykes office and unable to get through. «This cottage is centrally located for some great walks. It is located at the top of a high street with locally owned businesses and a CoOp. It is extremely quiet despite being next door to a pub and near the shops. The cottage was beautifully decorated and had everything anyone could need for a self-catering accommmodation. The washer and dryer were a big bonus!»

"We stayed at The Gainsborough as a family in late July, and the hotel was the perfect base for exploring Bath. The location is central, within easy walking distance of the Roman Baths, Thermae Bath Spa, the Royal Crescent and The Circus. The rooms were large, beautiful and well equipped, with plenty of space for a family. The service was outstanding throughout our stay, and breakfast was superb – Swiss-style service at its very best. The highlight was the Spa Village. The hotel has Bath's natural thermal water piped directly into the spa, and we used it twice. It was calm and beautiful, and in our view better than Thermae, which is much busier. Complimentary access for hotel guests in the morning and evening is a real bonus. Worth knowing for families: the spa has a strict 16+ age limit at all times, so children can't join. We simply took turns using the morning and evening sessions. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience Bath in style. Five stars."
