«Our third time to visit, hopefully WIFI will be added to the property. The neighbours dog was bold, making its way throught the back door to pull out the garbage. He wasn't deterred when shooed away, the owner heard me and took control of the dog»

«A super clean, tidy, and comfortable place to stay in laid back Kawhia, The ever changing view over the harbour as the tide rolled in and out was very relaxing and even though the fishing trip was cancelled due to the big swell we had some quality time to chill out. «We stayed here with our 2 kiddos ages 10 & 12. It was clean and cute and the kids were totally blown away by the experience of staying in a hobbit house! It definitely has a motel vibe, and the kitchenette is small, but there were some decorating touches that really added to the hobbit feel. The owners provided space heaters that were really nice to have, but the bunk room definitely developed a musty smell that we couldn’t get rid of. The property is really pretty to walk around and super close ...

«We stayed for 1 night. The accommodation has everything you need. It was quirky and fun. All rooms very clean and comfortable. Our child loved the bunk bed room. We were very happy to have the milk and bread etc. The night sky was amazing to see from here. Would thoroughly recommend!»

«This was a great place to chill out, with a wonderful outlook over Aotea Harbour and very quiet at this time of year (end April). Neat and clean with very a well equipped kitchen. It was comfortable for our stay but expect it could get very hot in summer, and be cold in winter (only one small panel heater for a large space).»

«Great spot, very local to all we wanted to do. Homemade bread, bacon & eggs were a enjoyable extra. Only problem was no lighting in the garage and the gas bottle for the bbq was empty, meaning a quick change of dinner plans.»

«Original hotel, far from anything else. Stayed in the cockpit of the airplane. The upstairs is only accessable if you are lean and small, perfect for children.»
